I heart faces :: Holiday :: Easter Joy

The energy in African American churches is unparalleled.
It is refreshing to see Jesus being worshipped in such a vibrant way.

Peace be with you.

I have never been to an African American church, but when I was in college, the Central State choir came to sing in one of our chapel services. Or maybe it was a special concert. Either way, I loved the unbridled joy with which they sang. It's the kind of music that reaches deep down and makes you want to shout "Hallelujah!" Love your photo--I think it perfectly captures that joy!

I love the complete
lack of inhibition and
how safe this man must
feel to praise God with
all his heart and yes,
with great JOY and
abandon! Beautifully
captured moment,
Becky : )

I would LOVE to experience one of these services! I have seen only on TV. And we have a few African Nova Scotian communities here and one not far from where we live.
Peace to you too.
