the ordinary, the every day :: I Heart Faces :: March, 2015

ordinary day

I used to be able to capture a hundred ordinary moments a day.
And then, well, my ordinary child turned into an ordinary teenager.

I have two teenagers now and they are the best. However, they don't want me taking pictures of
their laundry,
their dinner
or their homework.

They put their hands up.
They frown.
They yell.

I miss them being little.
I miss the ordinary (and happy) moments of childhood.

I took this shot of a little darling eating spaghetti at a charity fundraiser my friend Briana hosted recently.

Ordinary moments are my favorite kind to capture.

Life is beautiful.

you capture "ordinary" so beautifully, Becky. And I know that teenager-don't-take-my-picture transition well. it's a balancing-act/dance of respect ...

I love the sense of this, the feel of how it reminds me of my childhood and family events, outdoor meals :)

I think this feeling probably never goes away. I look at my 8 year old and wonder where the time went, I can't imagine during the teen years.
