Let not your heart be troubled. John 14:1-4

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night
Dylan Thomas
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Today I feel like crying.
Gary's Dad is not doing too well.
He is out of the hospital and back at the Assisted Living Home.
We love where he is right now,
but are not sure if they can provide the kind of care that he needs.
This is very hard and sad.
I know God is hearing our cry.
I am very, very worried about Gary.
Please pray.

John 14:1-4
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”

Oh! My dear friend! I'll be praying for Gary's dad. Such hard times. I know them all to well. :( You picked the perfect picture for this post it says it all. The weight of the world.

You also picked the perfect reading for me today . . . I'm trying desperately not to freak out because my dear husband has heart failure. He has grown worse over the past few months. I see him failing and soooo I'm worried. Today we go to a transplant specialist and I just don't know what to hope for. But, your right John 14:1-4 is perfect. I love that John! He's one smarty pants! I'll be praying for your family. And thank you for somehow always hitting the mark. xoxo, lisa
