Photography goals.
Looking back and looking forward.
I want to learn new things and try hard to shoot in ways that make people feel beautiful.
I want to focus on capturing more children.
And speaking of light-
I love light and airy editing.
A lot of times I pull back from this because I know it isn't typical.
It is a little artsy.
I talk myself out of it.
But you know what?
I love it and I want more of it,
so this year,
I am going to try hard to edit how I like to edit sometimes.
And last, but not least,
I want to remember to take photos of my most important person,
who just happened to turn 13 yesterday.
who just happened to turn 13 yesterday.

Oooh, what an awesome theme!! I got Bryan Peterson's Understanding Exposure for Christmas, my first photography book ever! First up is finishing reading that. Already he has challenged me to set my aperture more intentionally for the situation. I need to practice that a LOT. Then, I am trying to shoot outside more, especially while it's cold. And goodness, that white balance thing. There are a few others, but that's a good start. I may have to do a post about this. What a great thing to challenge people to do!
First of all, happy birthday to Kaish!!! I love your resolutions and I'm looking forward to seeing your light and airy edits. I know they'll be beautiful!
What great goals!!! I think mine are to really get my photo business off the ground! And just have fun capturing life!

I want to finish my penn foster photography course, and just practice more. Practice practice practice. Love your goals, and wow 13 how cool.
Beautiful Becky! I can relate with editing. Sometimes we just need to have the courage to be ourselves and do our own thing!
I <3 light and airy - so edit away my dear! :) And skin tones....eck! I bought a whole Creative Live course on the topic that I have yet to tackle! Great goals for the year!
Also a big Happy Birthday hug to Kaish! Becky, you officially have a teenager in your hands ;o)

I was really shocked when I went back over my 2012 photos. Most are not of people (faces)Shame on me...
That's my goal for this year. More pictures of family and friends.
Part of the problem is I can't post my grandkids photos on my blog, so I forget to take them at all.
Okay...take up camera and say SMILE PRETTY.
absolutely lovely goals, your photos are amazing and speechless.

Goals with my photography. Becky, I'm such a novice.... my goal is to remember to always keep my little Cannon powershot handy, in my purse, or near me at all times. I never know what I will want to shoot!!! HaHa.
You inspire me big time!!!!
I happen to love all your photos...old and newer.
13? A Teenager. Sure wish they came with a manual, don't you??? He is a doll!
XOXO
Your pictures are always so beautiful! And the great thing about editing now is that you can have several versions of the same picture with a couple of clicks! I hope there is a ton of light in your year. :)
I like your goals. And I already think your pictures probably make people feel beautiful :-).
i love your goals... love your shots already---i think you are making beautiful portraits. goodness. that second shot caught my breath. you got me thinking.. i am going to give what i do some great thought and come up with some of my own goals.
kaishon has gotten so much older looking this year. his eyes and his smile are beautiful in this shot. and that hair-i.love.it.
Happy birthday to your boy!
Goals for photography were the only things I could think of this year. So many missed opportunities last year and too many photos of things that didn't really matter to me. I don't facebook, but I'm going to read the goals.
I love everything about this post! Beautiful words and beautiful work!
One: A session with twins! Haven't done one yet.
Two: Do well in my classes this semester
