Baby Bully

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Today was the longest day of the year.
Gary spent it working.
His building was approximately 115.
I am not sure if he was exaggerating when he told me that number or not.
It was 99 degrees outside today.
He deserves to exaggerate.
I tell him he is a super star for working so hard for us.
He rolls his eyes.
Kaish and Naji and Jonny and I went to the Franklin Institute for the Free Night.
We are big ballers like that.
Did I tell you how much I love being with the kids in the Summer?
Oh my goodness.
I love it so much.
I would like to find a job where I didn't have to work even one moment in the summer just so I could be with the kids 24/7.
They do not like being with me nearly as much as I like being with them.
Fortunately for me, they don't have anyone else to cart them around,
so they have to pretend.
As soon as I get home from work tomorrow we are racing to the pool.
The pool is the perfect place when it is this hot.
I hope you are staying cool.

Baby Face + Funny Cat Story

My friend Katrina sent me this joke on facebook.
I don't know it's author.

A couple was going out for the evening. They'd got ready, all dolled up, cat put out, etc.

The taxi arrives and as the couple go out the cat shoots back in. They don't want the cat shut in the house, so the wife goes out to the taxi while the husband goes upstairs to chase the cat out.

The wife, not wanting it known that the house will be empty, explains to the taxi driver, "He's just going upstairs to say goodbye to my mother."

A few minutes later, the husband gets into the cab: "Sorry I took so long," he says, "stupid old thing was hiding under the bed and I had to poke her with a coat hanger to get her to come out!"

instagram + choir singing + act of kindness

I have 4 weddings I need to post.
They are all ready to go.
Edited.
Books ordered.
Happy brides and grooms.
And yet I hesitate.

This is my favorite picture of the day.
Maybe the week.

Life has been a little stressful lately.
A little scary.
I am thankful God is in control.

I finally joined instagram.
I like to be late to the party.
Everyone and their brother sang it's praises.
I want to join the choir.

The Everybody and their Brother Choir.
I sing great.
When I am in a sound proof room any way.

Do you want to do an act of kindness today? My friend Marey posted this message on her blog this morning. I am committing to sending this child a card. Can you?

Most of you know that my daughter is a teenage cancer SURVIVOR. Along the way we met many others who were not so fortunate as my daughter..."we are the lucky ones," if such a thing exists....ironic to be lucky after going through 2 1/2 years of daily chemo. There's always someone who has it worse off...
So this is where I ask the favor....there is a boy who is turning 16...he is a SURVIVOR just like my daughter...only boys have 3 1/2 years of chemo for the same cancer...as that wicked cancer has taken to male parts to go into hiding. So this boy is turning 16- his dad just passed away and it's his first birthday without him. I know this sucks because my dad also died when I was young...and I can't imagine also having had cancer.

Ashton's mom would LOVE it if he could be bombarded with mail for his 16th birthday, June 22. If you have a second, could you send him a card? I put $5 in the one I am sending, but just a card would make his day.

Do you believe it is the tenth again?
Oh, wait, it's actually the twelfth...
Just pretend it is the tenth.

This theme seems pretty easy, doesn't it?
Red, Green, Yellow and Blue?
I mean, how many times do we see those colors every day?
A million, right?
I could not think of anything to photograph with these colors for the life of me.

Thank goodness Jessi and Kierra came over tonight to see if I could take them to the mall for turquoise hair dye.
I told them that would not be a problem as long as they would help me with this colorful shoot.
They came up with the idea.
I am so thankful for them.

Wishing you a colorful week filled with all different colors of water ice (and possibly some turquoise hair dye.)
Go and check out Scarlett's colorful pictures
Her work is always incredible!
