To die for Photography Blogs

Photobucket

Hurricane Sandy has come to us. In blasts and gusts. Kaishon was extremely pleased with this unexpected 2 day break from school until he learned we couldn't leave the house and would have hours and hours free from power.

Currently he is reading a book about former presidents. I finally persuaded him to take a shower. He wasn't sure it was necessary since he wasn't going to school in the morning. I advised him that daily showers are always a good idea. He disagrees.

Recently I read a question about someone asking what photography blogs people would recommend. I can't remember where I read that question, but I thought it a brilliant one and I wanted to share some of my favorite photography blogs.

A fine art wedding photographer who uses film.
He posts beautiful weddings.
His images are breathtaking.
Romantic.

A fun husband+wife team.
Not conventional.
Brilliant.

She uses film sometimes.
She has a myriad of cameras.
She sees things other people don't notice.
I never know what to expect when I click on her link.

She captures real life.
Imperfections and all.
I love her style and her general outlook on life.

A Philadelphia area photographer.
Specializes in weddings.
Very creative.

Whimsical.
Unique.
Lovely.

Every day moments.
Real and perfect.
Lots of love found here.

Different and sweet.
Unique and creative.
Childhood captured beautifully.

Jason is bold and quirky.
Different and fun.
The only thing I don't like about this blog is that I can't comment.
You know me, I like to talk!

Do you have any favorites?
Do tell!
We still don't have power but we survived Hurricane Sandy.
We are praying for all of the people at the Jersey Shore who lost everything.

It's very hard to pick a favorite when every one you share is a winner. I do love them all, but that first one...just takes my breath!!!

Hope you have a great week!!

Sending love and hugs

so much to discuss here. Firstly, stay safe (praying Sandy blows over before it ever hits land in earnest). secondly, that daily shower "dilemma" will clear itself up within a year or two (if your boy is anything like mine). thirdly, thanks for a fun list of photographers to go visit (a couple of these are totally new to me!). and lastly (but not leastly) - THANK YOU for including me in your list. You made my whole day. :-)

I truly hope that you and your loved ones remain safe!

Also, holycrap thank you so much for the shout out. I don't consider myself to be emotional, but you may or may not have gotten some watery eyes from me ;)

Thinking of and praying for your safety, Becky! Wow...I really love the photo of the mom (I'm guessing) cradling her daughter across her lap. Simply breathtaking. I'll pay her a visit!

Hope you stayed high and dry and with power. I am so sad for my hometown of Atlantic City, part of my wishes Boston had faired worse and they had been spared!

Aagh! Photographers are amazing! If I tried to get a picture like that one with the cat, its tail would be in front of the kid's face! :)
After trying to take good pictures for a few years now, I really admire those who are gifted with the ability to do it very well. Also? Cake decorators.

And I got distracted by all the photog shout-outs, and meant to say I hope you all get power soon if you still don't have it. This was a beast of a storm. My parents live in Richmond, and I was worried about the power issue. I know NY and NJ took a beating. Take care!!

So happy to hear you are safe after the storm...I think I would take a day or two off work even if it meant no power :)
