binders full of women

Binders full of women.
That was definitely the funniest moment of the political race so far for me.
Forget about binders full or women for a second though. I have to tell you about Kaishon's binders full of papers.
Last school year the child went through 7 notebooks.
I kid you not.

So, this year I bought the sturdiest binder I could find. It was not sturdy enough to hold women, but it was definitely sturdy.
And here it is, October 25.
Just 2 months after school has begun and lo and behold, Kaishon needed a new binder.

I have never met someone that went through binders like this kid.
He thinks he needs to keep every single piece of paper his teachers give him.
Cross your fingers that this binder lasts more than 2 months.

Love, {broke because of binders} Becky

P.S. This post is so good. I love everything Miz Booshay writes. She is wise. And compassionate. Most of all, she is a good Mom.

My son's binder has a tear, and oh, is it bulging! I cannot imagine what will happen when it pops. I thought, boy they sure do give them a lot of stuff over there at the middle school. But now that my daughter is there? Hers looks completely relaxed. We can blame it on boys, just for today. ;-)

I feel your binder pain. And I love Donna's Snap-out-of-it post. And Becky, I think YOU should put yourself in more pictures. You love your family fiercely and are always doing something fun with them - they should have pics with you in them!!!

LOL - I'm totally cracking up over that Clinton photo and your line "broke because of binders." That sure is a lot of binders! Goes to show how conscientious he is though! :)

You know, I've read that post, several times, in fact, and even so, this time it made me cry. Now I need to go tuck my kids in bed for real (but now I'm not going to be so exasperated with them...time is short).

What is he doing to those binders??? We go through a lot of backpacks each year. NOT sure why.
Maybe we should homeschool our kids?
Oh, never mind.

Hahhaha. This post brings a BIG smile to my face. I have a 13 year old who finally (maybe) will have the same binder for a whole school year. Before way. I think maybe I was ok with it because I am a 6th grade teacher, and spend time saying "Ok, before you leave my sight, that goes in the rings of your binders!" I see binders as perfect in June as they were in Sept. I see binders covered with the doodles of life. I see binders picked and pulled apart by nervous boys and girls thinking about problems at home, and of course I have kids who worry if they will be able to afford a binder. That's why I pick all of the gently used binders out of the trash on the last day of school. They need a good home.

I think some kids are just obsessed with school supplies(my son)...and somehow he was so tough on even the most durable. He and Kaishon will have to chat :)

the photo of Clinton made me laugh right out loud....Priceless...
Oh yes, I remember school binders and my boys.
Never as many as Kaishon but everything times 2 made for interesting school supplies.
Hang in there Becky!

I just read your link, Snap out of it.
That was so good.
I had to repost it on FB. It's definitely a much needed reminder.
Thank you.
