You can call me Becky or Library Spy. Either one is just fine.

Summer keeps spinning along.
A little too quickly for my liking.
In between all of our fun adventures, I try to encourage literary pursuits for my little scholars.
Of course they greatly appreciate these forays into greater knowledge.
Or not.
Either way, at least once a week, we make our way to the good old
Indian Valley Public Library.
Take a gander at our latest trip.

I told Gary this was my new life motto.
I can't tell you what he said back since this is a nice family blog.
You can imagine though.
Darn it.
I was hoping he would see this and say
"Quit your job at once!" whilst pulling me towards a vent so air could blow up my
stretched out yoga pants  very sexy dress.
Oh well.

How I love the library. We are getting a brand new 30,000 square foot library right next door to my new school. So thrilled!

Great shots, as usual,Becky. :)

We are library regulars, too...and Sam would LOVE those books on insects. Fun pictures, my friend.

Your new motto is awesome, Mama!

I love the way you write. Also, how seriously cool are your guys? My little one loves the library like I always have. My eldest probably doesn't know where it is.

Thanks for visiting my blog :)
The best way you can mark somebody's life is to encourage in them the habit of reading.

I love that you take them to the library during the summer and encourage them to read...

You're right though, summer is going FAR too quickly!

What sweet photos...it brings back so many good memories for me. I used to take my daughter to the library once a week also - we'd come home with tons of books! Reading to her was one of my most favorite things...I miss those days (she's 21 now). :)

Thank you for sharing!

I can't help myself. Your boy has the most gorgeous head of hair.

Who cares about yoga pants that are stretched out :)? They are meant for that. Your eyes are still connected to your heart and that takes a little stretching :). I'' call you Becky with the best eyes I know.

What a great tour of the Library. I can't believe how grown up Kaishon is since I last saw your blog! Oh my goodness he gets better looking every day!

I have a SIL that grew up in a very bad, gang related area in East LA....He escaped to the Library every day...and he turned out so good. Educated, Military, good husband and father...Thanks to a Library that got him off the streets.

Bwahhhaha...
the vent blowing cracked me up.
Love your library photos. Its great to see kids reading and not just parked in front of the computer.
I love the feel of a book in my hands.
Wish you could come to visit. I think we would have a ball.
I love that you describe your life in adventure-like words.

Love the books they chose... Boys! Great shots, as always, of what looks like a fun and educational day.

I am a librarian, so I LOVE the library. My kidlets are still pretty young, so I prefer to get books for them while I am at work. Otherwise, chaos ensues. But we do go to summer reading and library story time programs all the time.

Kaish is growing so dang fast! I love that you go to the library once a week. R1 has a summer reading project for school. He acutally finished it the week before school let out. But it has taken him all summer long to write his paper. Go figure. Enjoy your summer time!
