'There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart.' ~Celia Thaxter {Summertime by the Creativity Project}

Hello, Summer.
Such a simple theme.
Summer is so many things to us.
It is ice cream and sleeping in.
It is sunshine and swimming.
It is lazy and relaxed.

My favorite thing about summer?
My very favorite thing?

Summer is all about children up in here.
You will never hear me say I am dying for school to start.
I know that it is harder, and more trying, having children inside with us rather than out of the house and learning all day...
but it is wonderful to spend moments with the very people who will one day change the world.
I am thankful for each moment I spend with these little miracles.
Each and every moment.
They are what matters most.
So to me,
Hello, Summer
means Hello, Children.
It means Hello, happy moments.
Hello, blessings.
Hello, joy.
It is simply the best.
Skeedaddle over to House of Emery {Scarlett's blog} to see her take on Summer.
She always blows me away.

Kids are the best, aren't they? I just wish I was able to take more time off from work to spend with my kids. It's amazing to see how they learn and grow from one day to the next!

I've been busier now that school is out, but I have to say that I'm really loving it! No schedules, just going with the flow...

Summer belongs to the children... for them to make memories. :)

I couldn't agree more...Summer = Children...and Summer reminds me that I am still one too. This Summer I received the greatest gift...the gift of being able to enjoy my children from morning 'til night and do exactly what I felt like with them each day...I am renewed and energized by them and today I started to imagine that in a few short weeks I will be missing them during the day...BOTH of them. Summer will be gone and another wonderful season will be upon us...another reason to celebrate the children in our lives and what they mean to us.

These images were fantastic. I really loved the processing....the black and white showcased every precious line of their incredible faces...full of wonder and emotion...and the innocence of childhood.

Summer, indeed!

You sure do know how to tell a story, Sweetie....and you know, it wasn't just you who felt that connection that day in Philly.....you HAD me at HELLO! So glad you said HELLO in MY direction!
