instagram + choir singing + act of kindness

I have 4 weddings I need to post.
They are all ready to go.
Edited.
Books ordered.
Happy brides and grooms.
And yet I hesitate.

This is my favorite picture of the day.
Maybe the week.

Life has been a little stressful lately.
A little scary.
I am thankful God is in control.

I finally joined instagram.
I like to be late to the party.
Everyone and their brother sang it's praises.
I want to join the choir.

The Everybody and their Brother Choir.
I sing great.
When I am in a sound proof room any way.

Do you want to do an act of kindness today? My friend Marey posted this message on her blog this morning. I am committing to sending this child a card. Can you?

Most of you know that my daughter is a teenage cancer SURVIVOR. Along the way we met many others who were not so fortunate as my daughter..."we are the lucky ones," if such a thing exists....ironic to be lucky after going through 2 1/2 years of daily chemo. There's always someone who has it worse off...
So this is where I ask the favor....there is a boy who is turning 16...he is a SURVIVOR just like my daughter...only boys have 3 1/2 years of chemo for the same cancer...as that wicked cancer has taken to male parts to go into hiding. So this boy is turning 16- his dad just passed away and it's his first birthday without him. I know this sucks because my dad also died when I was young...and I can't imagine also having had cancer.

Ashton's mom would LOVE it if he could be bombarded with mail for his 16th birthday, June 22. If you have a second, could you send him a card? I put $5 in the one I am sending, but just a card would make his day.

I LOVE Instagram. A fun way of making our fancy camera phones look like they are taking pics from the 70s. :) Kind of ironic, but still fun.

Is it going around? I've been stressed as has just about everyone I know. Here's hoping your stresses melt away.

And I will try to send a card. Poor guy.

I'm not on instagram, am I the last person on earth that does not have an iPhone? hehehe I've refused to get one because I honestly don't like phones that much, but I wish I had instagram, I'm so behind on technology, I love the picture of the baby! So precious!

I love your photos and especially LOVE the one of the 3 boys on the stacks of chairs...Kais and his friend being silly and the boy on the left so solemn....great shot!

Thanks Piper : ) I knew this was not a scam since my friend Marey actually KNOWS the child. Her child went through cancer treatments with this child. I would never ask anyone to do something if I thought it was a scam : ) Thanks for your additional information.
I love your name! Love, B

Becky. You hesitate? You don't want me to come over there and give you a lecture, do you? Good. You're a storyteller. There is not a better storyteller than you. It takes a wise couple to understand what they want is their story told. Anybody can have their picture taken. ANYBODY. They chose YOU. I can't wait to see your beautiful photos and words and subjects. What are you waiting for?

I hate that life is stressful and scary for you. I love that even when life is stressful and scary you are helping people. Breathe deeply! Hugs to you.

I've been a horrible blog friend. It is good to pop in and "see" you today. I always love your pictures! I can't get into instagram no matter how hard I try. Too much social media to keep up with I think?
I'm hoping you are okay. I'm sorry life is stressful. :(
