'A good book has no ending.' ~R.D. Cumming

My teacher caught me drawing in my American Revolution textbook.
"What do you think you're doing?" She said.
"Just making my mark in history."

Jonny and Kaish and I went to Toys R Us this weekend. Now, you know, our toy store of choice is always O'Doodles,
but since we had a snow storm Saturday morning I didn't want to risk driving into the city and having the roads ice up.
The hit of our visit to the toy store was the book Guinness Book of World Records. I think they would have stayed there reading for 3 hours if I would have let them!
Readers are the best!
What is your child's favorite book right now?

Readers can do anything! How wonderful Becky. I'm off to see what I heart faces has planed for Monday...could it have something to do with reading.

Two of my kids are heading up your way. . .well almost. They are in D.C. for March for life. I'm very proud they wanted to go. Can you tell??

GREAT PHOTO AGIAN!!!!

I LOVE it when I find kids that love to read! It makes my heart grow! ;-) Mine loves to read and he just finished 11/22/63 and loved it....not exactly reading material for the younger set though.

Readers really are the best. When we visit a bookstore, we lose ourselves for at least three hours :-). My son is 14 now and has always been an avid reader - loves mythology.

Thank you for visiting my blog :-) And each time I come over, I get lost in the slideshow below. Your photos are the best.

So fun! Michaela loves to read, period! She has just finished the Anne of Green Gables series for the fifth time...that girl needs a new book in the house. We are reading The Hobbit together, and both my older kids like it very much. :)

Oh I LOVE the perspective of this photo! It makes you FEEL like the viewer peeking around the corners to catch sight of the subject! Such a nice photo!! VERY well done, Becky!

Great Candid shot! Our favorites are Fancy Nancy, Pinkerella, Magic Tree House, anything about animals and Rick Riordan. I love a good magazine!

Hunger Games was DEVOURED by both Adam and me. He and I will both complete the series. I have to be careful with him; when books are as good as these, he will stay up ALL NIGHT to read. And while I would like to complain, the reality is that he gets it from me...

Great shot!! Liam LOVES the book of records... and he is reading the Hunger Games too right now.

I love that this is a sneaky shot of your reader!

My child currently eats books, but also really likes Olivia. I think it's because Olivia likes to be in charge, and so does Ellie!

Love that shot...and Sam currently loves the "Horrible Harry" series. :)

I was a reader as a kid! Not so much anymore, but as a child, I always had my head stuck in a book :) I hope I can pass on that same love of reading to my own kids someday!

I can't say we have any favorites right now...but that is an awesome shot. And, I imagine in a couple years, my girls will be all over the Guinness Book, too.

Love that candid shot! My oldest is really in to books about space right now but she still really enjoys a good detective story for children.

Oh, I love the candid voyaristic viewpoint! Wonderful capture :)

As for our fave book right now...I'm reading a book to my kids that I had as a kid (the actual same book, saved for 30+ years); Pippi Longstocking! It's the first "chapter-book" that we've attempted, and they're loving it...even though there are very few pictures in it :)

Thanks for stopping by Our House and leaving a sweet note!
This is a great shot and yes, the Guinness book of World Records is definitely a great read for anyone! We have small children but the favorite of the moment is anything by Richard Scarry...a little digging from my own childhood! :)
