Kittens & Hamsters {Oh my}

Casey has named her hamsters Cutip and Poo Tip.
I am not even kidding.
I have no idea which is which.

This weekend Casey told me she needed new locker pictures of her babies,
so I was happy to comply.
And then she told me the names.

I tried to help her think of new names.
And she rolled her eyes.
A lot.
Maybe having a boy isn't so bad.
Something tells me girls are WAY bigger eye rollers than boys.

 My Mom got kittens.
My Mom who HATED our cats while we were growing up.
My Mom who never wanted to touch our pets
or have a thing to do with them.
She got kittens.
 She adores them.
We adore them.
I mean, I am actually thinking about moving back home,
just to be with the kittens.
I just read that line out loud to Gary and he rolled his eyes.
Then I told him he reminded me of Casey.
He doesn't know what I am talking about since he didn't read the beginning of this post.
I am not going to ask him how he feels about the name Poo Tip
because I am pretty sure he would like it.
And, if that was the case, I would DEFINITELY have to move.
I can't be living with anyone that thinks the name Poo Tip is acceptable.

I'm more of a dog person, but those kittens are SO adorable! I know Z would not stop asking for one when she sees these pics. :)

Gosh you can make anything looks gorgeous. Love that fist shot and of course the sweet kittens. Great shots.

LOL. Thanks for the giggles :)
I can confirm that girls are, in fact, MUCH bigger eye rollers than boys are.

ps If you need kittens, I have four ;)

Poo Tip is hilarious! We had a fish named Fert E. Lizer because our previous fish had done just that. He died and we buried him in the garden...

As a lover of cats, I would do practically anything to be near a kitten. They are perfection. Your pics are beautiful, Becky.

Geesh - there is just way too much cute-ness for one post. Love all the kitty shots. Poo Tip is even pretty cute too. The hampster, not the name. I am totally with you on that one! (Insert eye roll!)

A great post, but I have to tell you how wonderful the moving pictures and text are at the bottom of your blog.

They are so sweet and funny and touching. I wish I could do that too.....

How cute the kittens are. What are the chances that you'll get a kitten of your own?

Oh my! Those kittens are too cute! My two kitties are 13 adn 15 years old...makes me sad that they don't run around crazy any longer. But I see a puppy in my future :)

Lawd. I want kittens now. I've already been there and done that with the hamsters, and we have a rat. But it's been too long for kitties, and now I really want one. If my mom had some, I would move back home, too. Your photography is just so amazing these days. You need to tell me how you do it...

My daughter is driving me crazy for a hamster. I'm always giving her the obligatory "no way" answer she does not want to hear. She said Santa was going to bring one to her for Christmas.

My mom was the same way about our cat when I was growing up. She just recently adopted a kitty too and is gaga over her. Too funny!

Happy Wednesday Becky!

i believe you are correct in saying that girls are way bigger eye rollers than boys. sometimes my daughter rolls her eyes so much I tell her that they are going to roll back into her brain....

So cute! Loved this post! I love how everything flowed with your photos and your words. So cute!

Girls are definitely worse eye-rollers than boys. And they get PMS way before they even start menstruating. It's fabulous.

You are so funny...and so are all your people.
I learned from this...that I really want a locker.

Love Casey and her imagination. I wonder how she thought of those names.
I guess your Mom has been bitten by the (K)ute Kitten phenom.
I can't exactly blame her. Those Kittys are darling. the eyes in that last shot are heart tuggers.

How could you not love those kittens!! They are adroable. It's funny how little furry things that need love will win over almost anyone. Even people who say they are not dog/cat/rodent people. :)

Ha! Love this (and the kittens, but not poo tip the hamster).

Lol!! You crack me up! I was a chronic eye-roller! I don't even know I'm doing it half the time, but a few folks over the years have called me out on it...oops!

Kitties are cute...cats not so much! I'll take a puppy any day :)

They are soooo cute! I'm so not a cat person, but I totally had a hamster once!

Hello.
I'm a dog lover myself, but how can you not adore those kittens. They are too cute. My wife is already in love with the last one...she's a total cat lover! The hamsters are cute too.

Awesome post & shots!
Thanks for sharing.

Too much cuteness! And, those names cracked me up. :)

The names should NOT be changed! Anything that makes you grin a bit has to stay! :)

And that last picture - WOW!

Oh my goodness--I would totally want to move in with those kittens, too! The hamsters are cute, but I had to laugh about the names. Henry and Ethan have identical koala Webkinz, and when Henry named his Koo-pa, Ethan decided his koala's name needed to rhyme with it. He named him Stoo-pa. Which I had a hard time with because it sounds much too close to the "S" word that is forbidden in this house. But try as I might, the name stuck. Kids.
