upon learning school is starting in 3 short weeks

You can see the kids were just delighted
to learn school is starting so soon.
I am thankful they have had each other to play with each day.
Friends to the end.

A somewhat advanced society has figured how to package basic knowledge in pill form.

A student, needing some learning, goes to the pharmacy and asks what kind of knowledge pills are available. The pharmacist says "Here's a pill for English literature." The student takes the pill and swallows it and has new knowledge about English literature!

"What else do you have?" asks the student.

"Well, I have pills for art history, biology, and world history," replies the pharmacist.

The student asks for these, and swallows them and has new knowledge about those subjects.

Then the student asks, "Do you have a pill for math?"

The pharmacist says "Wait just a moment" and goes back into the storeroom and brings back a whopper of a pill and plunks it on the counter.

"I have to take that huge pill for math?" inquires the student.

The pharmacist replied "Well, you know ... math always was a little hard to swallow."

Prayer Request!
My friend Becca Stanley of {the Stanley Clan} had a little baby boy last week. Caden is having open heart surgery on Monday. Will you please pray that God guides the Dr's?

Cute picture! I think some parents may have that same expression for school starting!! I know I did, I thought I had more time, more sweet, precious, lazy, summer time! Wah!

I would also like to note, that I would just like a pill to remember things.. ya know like where I put the keys?? That would be super helpful! ;)

HA HA HA HA HA! Those faces are fabulous! School in SW Tennessee starts tomorrow, we can totally relate to their expressions!

It's been a while since I visited your blog... I don't know if you remember my old blog "mom by faith (not by sight)." I took a little hiatus from blogging but now I'm back, and it's so fun "re-finding" treasured blogs! Your pictures are always so bright and you find such perfect words to go with them. I can't believe how big Kaish is now! But that precious face is still the same. Awesome hair! :) It's so nice to "see" you again! :)

So funny Becky! My kids are not too thrilled with school starting in two weeks here. I, on the other hand, have a very large smile on my face. It's been a super long summer. ;-)

Such a fun capture!

Most went back today in GA. Sam starts next Monday. (Of course, he got out mid-May.) He's excited to go to his new school, which will allow him to meet some kid in our new neighborhood. :)
