'A rose can say "I love you", orchids can enthrall, but a weed bouquet in a chubby fist, yes, that says it all.' ~Author Unknown

I love you guys  : )
Like, really, really love!
When I told you my brother didn't like my pictures because
there are often missing heads or feet
{or any other unnecessary parts}
you told me you love these pictures.
You don't mind the headless pictures : )
Or the random feet.
You are the best.
Thanks for always encouraging me.
I feel so blessed to know you!
For realz.
Johnny is the one missing out : )
Do you hear that Johnny?
That's right.
Cry about it Jacob!
This is something to cry about.

Don't ever cry about the fact that your Aunt stuck you in a tutu when Katelyn refused.
Seriously.
That is special.
Every baby {boy and girl alike} needs a tutu picture.

Do you have some delicious squeezy children to hug today?
Try to find some.
Squishy hugs from squeezy kids
might just be the best medicine in all the world.

A rose can say "I love you",
orchids can enthrall,
but a weed bouquet in a chubby fist,
yes, that says it all.

My hubs gets anxious when photos don't look like the ones he grew up with. "But you cut off the top of his head!" he cries, because that used to be the ultimate photog no-no. But I have learned over time that focusing on what really MATTERS in a scene means paring away the stuff that doesn't matter for that shot. Like eyes, or entire heads, or most of the body, even. And the shot of little man in the tutu? PRICELESS!

AAww what a beautiful poem! Today I ran into one of my sweet kids at TJ Maxx Becky, I heard a little girl trying to push her sister out of the next isle telling her "she's going to be your teacher next year" hehehe so I turned around and there was one of my former students, she ran to me and gave me a hug. =D That made my day.

Well, that's what makes pictures unique and artful! if they were like everyone elses, they'd be boring!

Danyelle said...

Oh they look like they are having so much fun!

I don't think shots have to have entire heads or bodies to tell a story. Sometimes focusing on the entire person in the picture will make the picture lose focus of the story you are telling.

Oh, these are the photos every parent would LOVE to have in their chlldren's albums and these are the photos that tell about the moments. You know, those wonderful special moments... LOVE them, Becky! I do. :)

nice pics...those that are headless allow us to put heads on them in our imagination, to make them personal...its all in how you frame it to...and you got a nice eye...

Oh! BROTHER! You know Becky. . .Boys are dumb. ((Except for your Daddy...he is never dumb! We love him. )) Mostly, brothers are dumb and weird. That's just all there "are" to it. :) As a woman I find it best that we never tell boys this little fact because...well, they just can't take it. They are not strong like us. So, what I would do is exactly what you have done; Put, his son is a tutu, take pictures of your brothers family and cut off your brothers head. and then of course say...Whoops! :)

Did I tell you I have two big brothers? Yeah!!! Two! one would tie me up to trees and poles and leave...I got very good at getting out. Now, I get him back by making fun of him on my blog. I think that's what blogs are for. Don't you? That and keeping great pictures of our kids and not to mention meeting fabulous woman who inspire, spread love and make our day.

Much love! :) Lisa

PS ~ whoops! didn't check my spelling...:) trying to hurry again!

Oh my goodness! Thank you for the rest of the tea party. LOVE it! I have some boy in tutu photos stashed away to pull out at a very strategic time. It will be easy to find because the album is titled "retirement account". I guess it would lose its value if I published it, so I won't. ;-)

Headless shots....you make it work.
Looks like quite the fun tea party there. Not only should everyone have a tutu shot, they should have a tea party too.

Such beautiful shots of children at play. I for one find the shots of feet or without heads really creative.
