Windy Day by Mary Jeffries

Windy Day
by Mary Jeffries

A wind blew up one morning
And joined us in our play,
Chasing us round the playground
Blowing our ball away.

It whistled at the window
And bustling quickly through
Found our teacher's pile of papers
And blew, and blew, and blew.

Then everybody scrambled
As we heard our teacher shout:
"Quick! Shut the doors and windows
And keep that wild wind out!"

I love hair that blows in the wind in pictures!! I need to get my computer fixed so that I can enter this week! (No place to put photos right now...argh!) If you are up for something eggstremely silly you can look at my latest post, although it is not for I Heart Faces. :)

How ever hard the wind may blow
'Twill not dampen the joy in her face
How ever loud the wind may whistle
'Twill not drown out the laughter, not even a trace

Oh i wanna be there - looks like a really fun place to hang out! As for the photo itself, I'm really drawn to her hair with the combination of the breeze blowing & sunshine glowing - soft & lovely edit.

Love the poem. Did you write it? Nothing better than a water balloon fight in the heat of summer with a breeze. Great shot.

Water balloons, yay. My grandkids and I would fill balloons with water, each take some and chase each other around the house and surprise each other.

Such a sweet photo, Becky! Love that smile on her face! Now, I wonder who got hit with that balloon full of water!! :) Well, it's been a little while since I've participated, and I missed the deadline for this one ... still posted mine anyway, because it was such a fun challenge! I've been pretty busy lately, or I definitely would have been joining in! Our son got married, and moved back here near home, and I've been trying to get use to a new computer, and editing program, and then needing to transfer photos, etc., well, it all takes time, but it's been fun going around and looking at all these entries. There were so many, and I still have a long way to go! You have a great week, and a blessed Easter weekend!
