We had a little party for our Mama on Sunday.
It wasn’t really a special number that most people celebrate.
Which once again just goes to show that we are above all else-
So any way,
Betsy and I decided we would make lovely flower bouquets for the tables.
On Saturday we carved out a 3 hour time period where we were void of any and all needy babies, fidgety toddlers, quirky kindergarteners and trying children.
We went to the green house and got some flowers.
Everything looked perfect.
Betsy watered one of the hydrangea plants we had replanted into Mason jars.
We thought it made the plant look muddy and icky.
Collectively we made a brilliant decision to just go ahead and not water the rest.
We thought the plants would be fine overnight until the party, right?
We woke up the next morning to tulips that had completely opened and had petals dropping and droopy hydrangeas.
So, you know what we did, right?
We went back to the greenhouse and used the plants just as they came in the little tacky plastic pots.
And no one noticed a thing.
It sure was nice to spend those three hours with her though.
Who cares that our project was a total fail.
