lost

Today I felt a little lost.delicious 4

Sweet Shot Day
I have no idea why.heart 008

Does that ever happen to you?fairy cake penut butter bliss

I feel silly feeling this way.heart 013

I mean there are always so many good things to think about.

(And I try desperately hard NOT to think about the fact that my kid is letting the cat on the table! Jimminy Crickets!

Or the fact that the floor needs swept and supper needs to be concocted!)flickr for sarah and rosina   And then I happened upon a sunset like this.

It pulled it all right back into perspective.sunset 1

God made our world so beautiful.

I am deeply thankful for this.

How beautiful.

Some days, we must overlook the OBVIOUS crapola (it is hard for me)
But then we see the real beauty in life. And THAT is what it is all about.

Becky...this really struck a chord with me. Chris was gone all last week and he came home early Saturday morning only to leave, again, for the week bright and early today. I felt a little sorry for myself, to be honest. Woe is ME! Then, I had to step back and remember all of my blessings and how things could be so much worse and so much harder. Really humbles you, ya know?

It's okay to feel lost once in a while; it's the willingness to find your way back that's important.

Hahaha, your fridge door looks like mine! =)

Wanda said...

Hmm....straight from the heart. I like that. Bmama's right. It's how you fall it's how you bounce.

Love that sunset shot. Magnificent!!!!

You are allowed to have days like that. I love the cat on the table :) And my floor looks way worse than yours!

Becky!! I always knew there was something about you that struck a chord deep within, and here you have finally posted it. It's your FRIDGE! Mine looks just like it--I mean the front all plastered with stuff. I feel so at home in your kitchen! :-)

But sorry you were feeling lost. I totally feel that way sometimes, and I agree, it seems silly. But it's just the way it is. The sunset is a good reminder of why we feel lost. We're still not home yet. ;-)

I've had that a lot lately. For me I write and it gets me through. For you the photographs probably do the same.

Beautiful sunset.

Cheers,

Casey

I know exactly how you feel. I have had one of those weeks. That sunset is gorgeous! Don't they always seem to come at the right time - when you need the rays of the sun to light your soul!

God is BIG, isn't He? And He has this beautiful, perfect plan for how things should run. But we... don't... follow it. So when we step outside of our chaos, when we look UP... we can catch a glimpse of what HE has waiting for us. When the cranes fly over... when the hawks wheel and play in the wind... when the sun and the clouds make a picture more beautiful than even the greatest human hand can paint.... THEN we can see Heaven. Oh.. and in the eyes of a newborn child. It's still there, too.
Love your photos... feel your chaos... and we will one day bask in perfect peace, dear one... together (because I am requesting a residence next to you... !)

I think those feelings are necessary once in a while to help us keep all the wonderful and beautiful things in perspective. Just don't let it last too long!

Hey Becky...feel lost more often than I'd like. I hear you. But that sunset does but perspective on things. When I see a beautiful one such as the one you captured, it makes me think nothing bad will ever happen again.
Hope the blues ease on by.

Oh yes, I have days like this. But somehow these are the days that really teach you to focus on what's important. Not that sweeping thing and what not.

You have a wonderful way of keeping your priorities straight. Sweeping a floor does not take precedence over receiving joy in a sunset. Good for you.

I think we all feel a little "lost" from time to time. Same way we feel alone in a room full of people. That's when I take some time to reevaluate and get some direction (prayer, meditation, reading my Bible, etc.). God made this day just for you. You're special! He loves you! I love you!

Hope you're having a beautiful day!♥

I struggle with feeling lost sometimes too. I've decided to just feel it and let it work it's way through. Trying to push it away makes it more intense for me. I live, breathe, and yeah, look for those amazing skies...peace

I definitely feel like that at times!
