Where does the sidewalk end?

Where the Sidewalk Ends

Shel Silverstein

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,

poppi4

And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
sidewalk 3

And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.

sidewalk 2

Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
jourdan & jamal christmas program 2010 187

And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,

For the children, they mark, and the children, they know

sunshine and rain

The place where the sidewalk ends.

I love that squishy baby arm. LOVE it. And the pink and grey tights... yum! And I'm hoping for Dana Suggs.. please tell me it's Dana.
I looked back through your interviews and didn't see that she had been interviewed, though it seems like you did. And while looking through, I re-read the goodbye post for Naji (*sob*) and the hilarious missing cat poster one. I think I need to print that one out, just for days when I need a good belly laugh. :<) You are SUCH a great blogger...
