Inspiration by way of Mr. Rogers

summer 4 summer 1summer 3 summer 2

‘The thing I remember best about successful people I've met all through the years is their obvious delight in what they're doing and it seems to have very little to do with worldly success. They just love what they're doing, and they love it in front of others.’
Fred Rogers

Thank you to Betsy for helping me remember a great man today.

I love that first picture, I wish I could be at that place. I also love that quote, that means that I have succeeded! I make very little money but I love what I do with all my heart. =D Aye you happy with what you do Becky? I think you are happy when you take all these beautiful pictures. =)

I so agree with Mr. Rogers! That's why I'm trying to find something that I'm passionate about (and then do it for a living). Because doing something you hate is not a way to spend the rest of your life.

That is a fabulous quote. I think it's my husband's secret. He's the most possitive/happy guy I know and he LOVES what he does (owns a masonry business & creates amazing outdoor art/spaces).

I never comment, but I have to say, being in snowy Canada, loved the summer pics, and totally agree with the famed mr. Rogers. When you no longer love what you're doing it's time to move on. Thanks for the inspiration:)

A very kind, gentle and wise man was Fred Rogers. I think many thought he was too gentle and not real, but his way of sharing Truths was the best. Great quote and the best philosophy.

I love those beautiful summer pictures. They make me miss home in Michigan where we would spend the summers swimming at my aunt's cottage. I just adore the picture of the boys on the dock.
Mr. Rogers was a smart guy ;)

Great quote from Mr. R - although I was already "beyond the age" when he first aired (I think I was 7 or 8), I did watch him a lot when I babysat for my neighbors and I always liked him and saw such a great human being.

Love your photos - reminds me that this snow/ice will one day be gone and we'll all be sweltering in the heat again!

What a wonderful quote and GORGEOUS boy shots! Makes me desperately wish we lived somewhere my my boy could swim in a place like that (and that I had the skill to take those pictures!). I was absolutely raised on Mr. Rogers, and always adored his quiet, honest strength.
