I suspect this happens with most parents.

I cried too when my daughter was born. I was nervous that we would butt heads like my mother and I did/do...and we do but I'm working hard to not repeat the cycle. She is my joy.

I had a hard time adjusting to female energy. I felt such a strong bond with my first born (a boy) and my second born (a girl) felt like a struggle, starting at birth. She is still a struggle, but that doesn't make me love her any less. She challenges me, in ways that force my heart to open and to remain true. Girls bring the best and worst out of you.

This reminds me of my sister - she had two boys first and she wanted a boy on the 3rd also. I was thrilled that she had a sweet little girl! :)

Glad she changed her mind! Girls rule and boys drool!

I was ambivalent about #2, secretly hoping that it would be another boy, because J was such an easy baby and I knew what to do with a boy... and then Z came. And I love her more than words could say. I feel SO, SO blessed to have her in my life. :)

This made my heart leap! Soooo sweet. Maybe b/c I would be in the same boat? I always wanted at least 1 boy.

Cracks me up when people say, "You should have a girl!" :)

I kind of felt that way about girls, too. I was always such a tomboy that I didnt think I'd know what to do with a girl. but, its all good now :) I dont know what I'd do with a boy!!

Lovely...love the little feet. I caught myself touching the screen...what sweet toes.

I felt the same way after having girls and only having sisters...I knew not how to do anything boy...but I was in love.

Beautiful post.

How could she not be smitten? That is one cute baby! Although, I kind of know how she felt - I *knew* I was having a boy and wouldn't even entertain the possibility that he could be a girl. Hubby was nervous. I know had MC been a girl I would have loved her dearly - but clearly God felt that I'd be a better mom to a boy.

I would love to have a little girl, but when I think about it, I think I would cry too if they told me I was having one (no I'm not preggo lol). I'm smitten with her :)

Awww...love those little feet!

I only have girls and don't know what I'd do with a boy but I'm sure I'd be smitten with him as well!

I love these photos and I can so relate. I had a girl first and then when I had a boy I thought, NO WAY. Little did I know how much my son would so quickly steal my heart and have me wrapped around his little finger! I can't imagine life without him!

How could she not?? She's perfect in every way! I always say I want a little boy when I have a kid of my own, but I'm sure I will be happy and in love with whatever God decides to give me :)

Beautiful photos yet again, Becky. It never ceases to amaze me that such a small part of our body can hold such an enormous amount of love for our kids... Yes, that second child is so hard to picture. But, when he came along, I knew he'd be as easy to love as she was!

It must be wonderful being in your company Becky. A feeling of calm and relaxation comes over me when I am here. Now that's the power of 'quantum energy' if I've ever seen it!
The 'free hugs' clip gets me every time...priceless.

This is where I wonder if it is a good thing to know the sex of the baby before birth.

In my case I am so glad I have 2 daughters and one son. They were from birth little human beings I had to love and care regardless of gender.

Have a beautiful day. xxx

The video has me full out crying!!

( it's a good cry, thank you)
