Apparently We Are Gun Lovers…

I Heart Faces

wants to see some mistakes this week.

Pictures you probably should have erased!

Apparently we are gun lovers

as all three of my entries

features a “Stick ‘em up” moment.

Do you know that when I posted the above pictures

I didn’t even notice the guns pointing at the

Senior Citizens heads… Craziness!

normal

This was taken last weekend.

They were playing a shooting game with Ben.

Ben loves guns!

It looks like they are saying:

‘Give me the baby or else!’

Do you let your kids play with guns?

We aren’t opposed to it.

We are, however, opposed to shooting Senior Citizens

and kidnapping babies.

Just in case you wondered!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

storm 5

Lost In The Snowstorm 1

A blonde got lost in her car in a snow storm. She remembered what her Dad had once told her.

"If you ever get stuck in a snow storm, wait for a snow plow and follow it."

Pretty soon a snow plow came by, and she started to follow it.

She followed the plow for about forty five minutes. Finally the driver of the truck got out and asked her what she was doing. She explained that her dad had told her if she ever got stuck in the snow, to follow a plow.

The driver nodded and said, "Well, I'm done with the Wal-Mart parkinglot, now you can follow me over to K-Mart."

It is actually delightful to have the kids home from school.

I have crafts ready.

(because you know little boys just LOVE crafts…)

I found some more {non stabbed by fork} boxes.

And even some spray paint for the snow!

The shoveling is what drives me insane…

I decided I am going to just hibernate and

avoid shoveling this time.

I think that might be illegal in the association.

I don’t really care.

See you in the Spring.

There was a boy who had to use an outhouse and he hated it so bad. One day it started to rain really hard and it got the bank all slippery and wet so he decided to push it off. He did it and later that night his father asked him if he pushed off the outhouse.
He said: "Yes."
His father told his son to come with him to get his whipping.
The boy said: "George Washington didn't get in trouble when he chopped down the cherry tree because he was honest."
The boys father said: "but George Washingtons father wasn't in the cherry tree when he chopped it down."

Do you see those holes in the box

That is where they stabbed the box

"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.

Let me learn from you, l

ove you, bless you before you depart.

Let me not pass you by

in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow.

Let me hold you while I may,

for it may not always be so.

It’s Official: We love her!

Parenting

Unknown Author found here.

baby 5

Being a parent changes everything. But being a parent also changes with each baby. Here are some of the ways having a second and third child is different from having your first.

Your Clothes

1st baby: You begin wearing maternity clothes as soon as your OB/GYN confirms your pregnancy.
2nd baby: You wear your regular clothes for as long as possible.

3rd baby: Your maternity clothes ARE your regular clothes.

---------------

Preparing for the Birth

1st baby: You practice your breathing religiously.

2nd baby: You don't bother practicing because you remember that last time, breathing didn't do a thing.

3rd baby: You ask for an epidural in your 8th month.baby 3

---------------

The Layette

1st baby: You pre-wash your newborn's clothes, color-coordinate them, and fold them neatly in the baby's little bureau.

2nd baby: You check to make sure that the clothes are clean and discard only the ones with the darkest stains.

3rd baby: Boys can wear pink, can't they?

---------------

Worries

1st baby: At the first sign of distress - a whimper, a frown-you pick up the baby.

2nd baby: You pick the baby up when her wails threaten to wake your firstborn.

3rd baby: You teach your 3-year-old how to rewind the mechanical swing.

---------------

Pacifier

1st baby: If the pacifier falls on the floor, you put it away until you can go home and wash and boil it.

2nd baby: When the pacifier falls on the floor, you squirt it off with some juice from the baby's bottle.

3rd baby: You wipe it off on your shirt and pop it back in.

---------------baby 2

Diapering

1st baby: You change your baby's diapers every hour, whether they need it or not.

2nd baby: You change their diaper every 2 to 3 hours, if needed.

3rd baby: You try to change their diaper before others start to complain about the smell or you see it sagging to their knees.

---------------

Activities

1st baby: You take your infant to Baby Gymnastics, BabySwing, and Baby Story Hour.

2nd baby: You take your infant to Baby Gymnastics.

3rd baby: You take your infant to the supermarket and the dry cleaner.

---------------

Going Out

1st baby: The first time you leave your baby with a sitter, you call home 5 times.

2nd baby: Just before you walk out the door, you remember to leave a number where you can be reached.

3rd baby: You leave instructions for the sitter to call only if she sees blood.baby

---------------

At Home

1st baby: You spend a good bit of every day just gazing at the baby.

2nd baby: You spend a bit of everyday watching to be sure your older child isn't squeezing, poking, or hitting the baby.

3rd baby: You spend a little bit of every day hiding from the children.

---------------

Swallowing Coins

1st child: when first child swallows a coin, you rush the child to the hospital and demand x-rays.

2nd child: when 2nd child swallows a coin, you carefully watch for coin to pass.

3rd child: when 3rd child swallows a coin you deduct it from his allowance!!

Baby Brooke

brooke for grammy 1 Born at 2:30 PM

on her Grammy’s Birthday. Born to my sister Betsy.

To Betsy who has always been frightened of baby girls.

She looks smitten to me : ).<KENOX S630 / Samsung S630>

I wasn’t going to blog tonight

(about this stellar baby)

but my parents

could not open the email

my brother in law sent them with these pictures.

After spending 45 minutes

trying to explain how to open an attachment

to EACH of them

over the phone,

I decided I better put the pictures on the blog

since they were desperate to view them.<KENOX S630 / Samsung S630>

They do know how to read my blog.

(Only because I made it the home page

of their computer.)

Kaish and I will go to see her tomorrow.

We are so excited we can’t even stand it.

I printed these pictures

for Kaish to take to his class tomorrow

and he was horrified

by the naked one.

You would love my Mom.grammy_edited-1 She is so kind and good.

I don’t think I have ever met anyone that doesn’t like her.

Seriously.

Ever.

I love the way she mothered me.

There were a million wonderful things she did.grammy 4

She used to put little notes in our bag lunches.

She would cut envelopes in half,

stick quarters inside,

and then she would write little things

on the outside.grammy 1

Little silly things.

Little sweet things.

Little wonderful things.mommy 1

She used to make up stories and

read them into a tape recorder.

She let us talk into it too.

We thought that was amazingly cool!

We had so much fun with her

gathered around our kitchen table.

She made childhood magical.

She would sing us songs at bedtime.grammy 3_edited-1

She sings so prettily.

She always told us how much she loved us.

When we were very good.

When we were very bad.

Even when we were just normal.

I never doubted that I was loved.

mommy_edited-1  I remember before I went to college I was very scared.

I was only going 2.5 hours away,

but still,

I had never been without this family of mine.

She came into our room

and lay beside me until I fell asleep.

I remember thinking

in those moments before I drifted off to sleep

that I had the very best mother in the world.grammy 5

And I still think that today.

Wishing you the happiest of Birthdays Mommy.

I love you with every bit of my heart.
