One More Day

He came back.

head 5    Unexpectedly.

Saturday afternoon.

The doorbell rang.

And just like that-

in he ran.

I cried.

Kaish was overjoyed.

Naji screamed.

His parents said they had to come back

to say goodbye before they flew to Bangladesh.

They said that Shoshi

had missed us the last 10 days when they were in NYC.

We told them we missed him too.

And so we had one more day.

And we filled it up with many wonderful things.

Swimming.

Horseback riding.

Lawn mower driving.

Pizza making.

We will never ever be the same for having had

Shoshi as a part of our lives.

Never Ever.

Thank goodness for Skype.

Thank goodness for Love.

Thank goodness for Shoshi.

The theme this week at I Heart Faces is

Over My Head

I had some very creative ideas for this,

but my models were non compliant.

I didn’t even mind.

Having a happy last day together was more important

than a perfect picture.

Our love for Shoshi is WAY over our heads!

to have something

that makes saying goodbye

so hard.’

This just totally made my day. I'm so glad for everyone that there was time together, memories made and a chance for a proper goodbye. Thank goodness for modern technology - it won't seem so far away when you can skype.

Oh... thank you, God! I prayed, Becky... prayed that you would have that chance to say goodbye, or to be able to see him again soon. I am SO, so glad that it happened. I have tears in my eyes, because really...when God answers a prayer so directly, I can actually feel His hand on my head, saying, "Hush, child... I know what I'm doing. Never, ever doubt Me...."

What a fantastic surprise for all of you. I can just imagine the bond that you all created with him during his time there, that he missed you that much to want to come back again. It sounds like you made the most of the day. With the strong ties that you've developed, I have no doubt that this is not the last time you will see him, perhaps with yet another surprise mixed in along the way.

Oh yay - I'm so glad they came back to say goodbye. My heart broke just a little when he left (through your story of course) and it wasn't fair for him to leave with no goodbye. I know you'll all still miss him.

That is such a cute picture, you must have thousands like me everywhere you look. One day if I move the realtor is going to suggest I take them all down, but I don't think I will. Your man is growing up that is for sure!! Have a great day friend.

Great photo... I understand about boys not wanting to pose!! I have one that is the same way. It's great your family had that one more day. My son's BF moved out of state, but the great thing is that with technology the way it is today. They still chat and play video games online at least a few times a week. When he does come to visit, it's almost like he never left!

Great shot!

And Becky ~ thanks for the tips on spammers. I have tried a few things, but I was getting like 20 repeats of the same spam on all three of my blogs for approval ~ it got silly and seriously annoying! What I have now, although I hate word verification with a passion, is working (and saving me a big waste of time!)~ but thanks for caring! :D

Also ~ thanks for your prayers for my auntie too.

Becky - this post is awesome and I am also glad that you all got timr for proper goodbyes!

Great photo!

Thanks for the blog love - just a note about the 'no standing' in my photo. It is a road sign - actually meant for cars - no standing - in otherwords, the vehicle is not allowed to stop or or park. Do you have that over in the USA?
