‘Children make you want to start life over.’ ~Muhammad Ali

‘You are worried about seeing him spend his early years in doing nothing.  What! kaishon 1 Is it nothing to be happy?

Nothing to skip, play, and run around all day long?

Never in his life will he be so busy again.’

~Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Emile, 1762

The theme is PLAY at I Heart Faces this week!

What a brilliant theme.

LG_I_Heart_Faces[3] Here is to hoping you have a week filled with play!

Life is short.

What is your favorite thing to play?

I want to play badminton soon!

He is really peering intently at that! I quite like that marble track-very unique looking.

Play! Great theme. We should keep it in our lives forever and never be too old to play.

We should never lose our sense of play. I like to act in plays, they are called plays because you get to play.

Ah, games. I think we forget to make life fun. We forget to do purposeless things just because, just for the sake of fun. Great lesson!

I think as adults we play serious games and not as much fun as the "nothing" we play as children.

Ali is right. I read books where the characters reminisce over their childhood, hear my grandparents talk about their early days, or just see kids interact together and it makes me want to go back sometimes.

I love how concentrated he is. This is one of the reasons we've given our son's teachers all types of manipulatives to use during teaching. Their brains are so fired up when working with tangible stuff!

I LOVE that quote! I have kept it forever because it describes how I want my kiddo's childhood to be!

I heart this block set... my child would go nuts for it! :)

Isn't it fun to watch children play! When my grandchildren arrive, we play and I seldom cook for them, because it would take time away from play time. Thank goodness for restaurants. As they get older, we will turn cooking into play time too. My granddaughter likes to help me make cookies. My grandson likes fill the dishwasher. I like your quotes.

That is a fabulous quote! It's the time of year when everyone I know is signing their kids up for a bazillion things, and I think, do your kids not go to bed asking to do all the things they had on THEIR minds for this day? I like to explore, and play board games and card games..

Intense and lost in his own world! I love your photowalk pics as well. Maybe next year there will be one in Kansas City. I think the last picture in your photowalk series would be my kind of play . . .
