feet. foot. funk.

LG_I_Heart_Faces[3] A young couple decided to wed.

As the big day approached, they grew apprehensive.

Each had a problem they had never before shared with anyone, not even each other.fair 10

The Groom-to-be, overcoming his fear, decided to ask his father for advice.

"Father," he said, "I am deeply concerned about the success of my marriage."

His father replied, "Don't you love this girl?"

"Oh yes, very much," he said, "but you see, I have very smelly feet, and I'm afraid that my fiance will be put off by them."

"No problem," said dad, "all you have to do is wash your feet as often as possible, and always wear socks, even to bed."

Well, to him this seemed a workable solution. fair 16

The bride-to-be, overcoming her fear, decided to take her problem up with her mom.

"Mom," she said, "When I wake up in the morning my breath is truly awful."

"Honey," her mother consoled, "everyone has bad breath in the morning."

"No, you don't understand,. My morning breath is so bad, I'm afraid that my fiance will not want to sleep in the same room with me." mom 1

Her mother said simply, "Try this. In the morning, get straight out of bed, and head for the kitchen and make breakfast. While the family is busy eating, move on to the bathroom and brush your teeth. The key is, not to say a word until you've brushed your teeth."

"I shouldn't say good morning or anything?" the daughter asked.

"Not a word," her mother affirmed.

"Well, it's certainly worth a try," she thought.shoes

The loving couple were finally married. Not forgetting the advice each had received, he with his perpetual socks and she with her morning silence, they managed quite well.

That is, until about six months later. Shortly before dawn one morning, the husband wakes with a start to find that one of his socks had come off.

Fearful of the consequences, he frantically searches the bed. This, of course, wakes his bride and without thinking, she asks, "What on earth are you doing?"

"Oh, my," he replies, "you've swallowed my sock!"Soles4Souls[5]

I Heart Faces wanted to support this fantastic cause this week. If you have a chance to go over and read about it and perhaps donate some shoes… I hope you will.

What is your favorite pair of shoes?

Cute story!

I love, Love, LOVE shoes! So I have many different "favorites" -- strappy, high heels, wedges... just too many to be named (did I mention I love shoes?) but I think my all time favorite is a pair of Converse Chucks. Best. Sneaker. EVER.

I was wondering what the punch line would be. LOL!! :)

Great pics, Becky. That orange sorbet (?) totally matches Kaish's shirt. If IHF will have an orange theme, you'll already have the perfect photo!

I love shoes, when I could not find pretty clothes because of my size I bought pretty shoes. To pick one would be hard!

Which one do you like best?

Have a beautiful day? xxx

CUTE! New Balance running shoes are my favorite. LOVE mine and all their predecessors. Hope you had fun seeing David and his sweetie. That poor Gary. He is going to own that company before long. Hope you have a great day. It is quiet here. All the little ones are busy but we have a big 90th birthday party coming up this weekend. Hope they get to come to that. Enjoy.

Sadly, that is me and my husband. Though his feet ARE worse than my breath...

Says me. He may disagree...

Hilarious! And I confess to having terribly stinky feet. I always have. And unfortunately both of my kids inherited them from me.

Oh my goodness, I love that little story! And those are such cute shoes! I love how you lay them out on the magazine(?). My favorite shoes...I have 2 pairs which I love. 1) A pair of oxford-esque brown heels that make my legs look A-mazing 2) My wedding shoes. They were less than $20 on target.com and I took the risk ordering them without trying on first. They're these adorable ivory lace covered kitten heels that give me "Disney princess" feet :) Thank you for the comment on my blog, you made me smile from ear to ear.
