Relax?! Who can relax?

You know the site communal global, right?Study 1 - black border (resized 150)

Well, they are starting this new meme on Tuesdays.

Tomorrow’s theme is

What helps me relax?kaishon 6

I asked Gary how I relax and he laughed.

Hard.

And long.kaishon 3

He thinks I am sort of uptight…

and always on the go.

He might be right.  kaishon 8

Relaxing is not my forte.

I told him I positively rock at relaxing in the Summer.

Kaish and Naji and Bria love the pool

so we go at least 5 times a week.

The only thing you can do at the pool is relax.

I read.

Lots and lots of books.

I am getting so excited for Summer this year.

Bring it on!

I am ready to relax.

Gary relaxes by getting a massage from Kaish

after work.

Did I tell you that Gary works 7 days a week?

He doesn’t get to relax too much.kaishon 2

He loves relaxing.

I asked Kaish if he relaxes and he told me no.

I said ‘what about when you are riding your bike?’meander 2

He said ‘that is riding and not relaxing.’

I said ‘what about when you are playing with your friends?’

He said ‘that is playing and not relaxing.’

I said ‘what about when you are watching tv?’chillin

He told me he doesn’t really consider that relaxing either

because he has to think.kaishon

Poor thing.

Here I thought he was relaxing all the time…

What do I know?

What is your favorite way to relax?

My favorite way to relax....Hmmmm there are so many:
Mani Pedi's...
The Tanning Bed...(really bad for you)
A massage
Getting an eyebrow wax
Catching up on blogs....

Kristina P. said...

I am all about the massages.

Adeena said...

Hmmm...

My monthly massage is pretty relaxing. ;)

I like to knit and crochet - and I find that pretty relaxing, too.

I actually relax when I edit pictures...

Kaishon's answers were great. You're going to have to let that kid rest from time to time. :)

Relaxing... ahh... sounds lovely! :) Love the pictures! How far in advance do you know what the Tuesday theme is going to be?

Hah, this is funny!!!! I sooooo know how to relax. Whether it's just cozying up on the couch with a glass of wine and the remote, or taking a nap, or lying in Tristan's bed while he plays Wii and I go through a recipe book marking pages and drinking a cup of jo.

You deserve to relax!!!!!!!!!!

I'm all about relaxing. TV is relaxing because the junk that I watch can be mind numbing. :) Actually when I go out by myself and take pictures I sometimes get into a "zone" and I'm very relaxed.

Love your pics... especially the last one!

The only time I can truly relax is when the kids are in bed and I can go into our bed and watch t.v. Also first thing in the morning when everyone else is sleeping, I get my coffee and read everyone's blog posts.

Mighty M said...

I relax by reading, watching tv at night with Mickey when the kids are in bed, and drinking a glass (or two) of wine. :)

Sounds fun, I keep meaning to play more on communal global, I'll try to do better, haven't been blogging much. :)

I'm relaxing right now, reading my favorite blogs and looking at your awesome photo's!
Love these ones of goofy Kaishon, and the one of Kaishon and Gary.

Or watching a movie with my kids...so many ways to relax. We must teach Kaishon this. Minus the wine.
What they hey did they do to your couch??? Or are the walls crooked????

Thanks for the invite for the photo walk. If it was a bit closer I probably would. Philadelphia is 2 1/2 hours from here which is fine but my daughter who goes to college there will be home May 13 for the summer!! So if she was still there I probably would have done the walk and went to visit her. Thank you though! You take great pictures of your SON!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I relax once the kiddos are asleep. Usually it entails laying in bed watching TV with hubby. I also love drinking coffee and readying blogs in the morning. But, usually my kids are up, and that just adds a level of stress. :)

I realized driving home with little bitty Mattie from the hospital, days after she was born, I would never relax again.

But I pretend relax with a glass of wine and a good tv show. And blogs. Lot's of blogs

: )

I love your post! It was fun to read! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great Tuesday!

I imagine it is hard for you to relax since you put up a blog post every day or maybe more than once a day and then in your free time you are giving your friends pointers on theirs. ;)

Blogging and reading blogs is relaxing for me! But my absolute favorite way to relax is with a great book and a glass of vino (when not pregnant, of course)!

Love the pictures, I think Kaish is more relaxed than he's letting on too, LOL!

I relax in so many ways! One, I relax when I'm sitting at the table, looking out the window at the birds flying and looking for food.

I relax when I'm reading.

I relax when I drawing.

I relax when I'm playing the piano.

I relax when I'm listening to music.

I relax when I'm playing in the dirt outside.

Working 7 days a week has got be tough!!

I love to relax in the water when I go to my aqua aerobics. I stay after class and just float on my back. I can just imagine that I look like a whale, lol.

Wonderful post. I too find it difficult to relax. One of my favourite things though is winding down by reading to my children before they go to sleep. Bliss.

thanks for stopping by my blog! too bad you don't get to relax much- i'm a tv relaxer, unfortunately. i need to start reading more!

Each person decides what relaxing is for them. Hubby and I don't watch any TV so we have time for other things like reading and we play games like Scrabble and Dominoes and Sorry. We sit at the kitchen table and watch the rabbits and squirrels in the yard. We listen to music. Have you heard my hubby's music? We like this type of music and it is relaxing for us.

reading by the pool sounds like the perfect way to relax!

Oh, that Gary is my hero!
And Kaish cracks me up!
Being a kid is a lot of hard work - didn't we know?!

I'm going to NAP to relax today - we are two peas in a pod so far as uptight goes - I can't get my brain to be quiet unless I"m unconscious! ha ha!

Pic number 4: he is applying an age old Thai massage technique... trust it was a splendid stress reliever!

Isaiah would probably have similar responses! LOL. Who knew that they were never relaxing?!

I think I relax the most when I'm snuggled in my bed with a good book, or cozy in Isaiah's bed watching iCarly. I also love a good mani/pedi...that's pretty relaxing. I love those little Vietnamese girls talking their talk and I just sit back and listen and think about funny things like breaking out with my own Vietnamese and wondering what they would do if I did. I'm never thinking about anything serious while I'm there and they do a great job at making my hands and feet look pretty. It's a win-win.

I hope you're having a great week so far...and finding a minute to relax!!♥

I wish I had Kaishon's time to not relax. He is hilarious. I love that he gives back stomps to Gary. Gary needs them. I personally want to kidnap you. HOpe you won't mind.

Hilary said...

By Kaishon's standards, I'm never relaxing either. In my bed? I'm too busy sleeping to relax. Sheesh! ;)

Gary works 7 days a week?! Yikes, he deserves to relax.

I love going to get a pedicure! That is my relaxation. And I need one today!!

Love all the apparently "non" relaxing pictures!

Right now, I'm home sick for the second day and relaxing means sitting here with my laptop while my 3-year old sticks his stinky feet in my ribcage and watches Tom & Jerry. It's a good life :)

It's rough being a boy! :-) My favorite way to relax: going on an unaccompanied long run into the country, biking, hiking...anything that involves sweating and burning of calories.

Angela said...

Its hard to relax when your a boy with so much to do!

i super love this. and reading your blog. thanks for stopping by mine and commenting. i LOVE that :)

Kaish has me stumped...but laughing too! So funny! Unlike your son, I enjoy relaxing in front of the TV with a show I don't have to think too much about (not Lost, that makes me think too much) but maybe a show like Dancing with the Stars or something like that. I also enjoy reading, but again, nothing too mind boggling!!!

Love your post!

Fabulous photos.

I don't think I relax much either. I might sit with idle hands for a bit, but seems lately my mind is never really relaxed!

Tracey Axnick said...

How do I relax? You know, I LOVE a fully body massage... that's a special treat. But I'm such a people person that I love "family functions" when I'm surrounded by my husband, kids, parents, siblings, nephews, nieces.... lots of good food, drink, conversation, laughter, etc. I think that is my VERY favorite way to relax. You not only get to relax, but you get to create memories and strengthen your family. It's a beautiful thing.

(Great post, Becky!)

I've really enjoyed looking through your blog!

I didn't know your hubby works 7 days a week-that's so hard! My hubby got a new job that is 2.5 hours from home, so we only see him on weekends and one weeknight. Relaxing in the pool is fun. I'm like you it' very hard for me to relax even when I'm sitting in front of the TV, I have to be doing something, folding clothes, knitting, it's hard to sit still, I feel guilty when I do!

Tezzie said...

Yuh...not too much time to relax, is there?! Your summer plans sound lovely, though...pool lounging with lots of books. Wonderful!
