Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

storm 5

Lost In The Snowstorm 1

A blonde got lost in her car in a snow storm. She remembered what her Dad had once told her.

"If you ever get stuck in a snow storm, wait for a snow plow and follow it."

Pretty soon a snow plow came by, and she started to follow it.

She followed the plow for about forty five minutes. Finally the driver of the truck got out and asked her what she was doing. She explained that her dad had told her if she ever got stuck in the snow, to follow a plow.

The driver nodded and said, "Well, I'm done with the Wal-Mart parkinglot, now you can follow me over to K-Mart."

It is actually delightful to have the kids home from school.

I have crafts ready.

(because you know little boys just LOVE crafts…)

I found some more {non stabbed by fork} boxes.

And even some spray paint for the snow!

The shoveling is what drives me insane…

I decided I am going to just hibernate and

avoid shoveling this time.

I think that might be illegal in the association.

I don’t really care.

See you in the Spring.

XO

It looks a bit like that here too! I like the hibernation idea!

Please share what crafts you have for those big boys! Spray paint for snow? What a great idea! I can not believe all that snow. I really can't! I think you've had more snow this season than I've seen in my lifetime! Make the boys shovel it -- by the looks of it, they'd be busy for quite some time :)

Wanda said...

I'm with Sarah....boys make good shovelers, make it a challenge with a reward at the end.

Hang in there - this too shall pass!

Nooooo to the snow! Oh my goodness! I would choose hibernation over shoveling all that snow too!

But your pics are so fabulous. I told my Hubs that we NEED an orange saucer for the kids because it looks fab in pics and that I had proof!!!

Busy Bee Suz said...

Love the blonde joke...but why always making fun of the blondes????

Hibernate. That is what I would do. I don't even have a winter coat...I bet you have a few, huh? Poor cold people!!!!

Linds said...

oh my word! I would be thrown into winter depression with all of that snow! Looks like those boys are really enjoying it though!

Veronica said...

That's a lot of snow! Have fun hibernating. Shoveling right away is overrated!

You sound like you still have your spirits up. Good for you!

When we got slammed last year everyone was at each other's throats.

Buckeroomama said...

Wow!! Thankfully, the weather here has warmed up a bit and it looks like it's going to get even warmer in the coming days.

Anita Johnson said...

That IS a lot of snow...I think I was told to follow a snow plow in drivers ed. Hmmmm. The kids look like they are having fun!

lifebythecreek said...

Well, you certainly have a great attitude about it! And I know that your kiddos will have a blast; you will make sure of that. But I think I would be right beside you hibernating if I was there; I would bring my Snuggie and a box of hot chocolate mix, and we could even make Pioneer Woman's cinnamon rolls and laugh at old man winter. Dumb old man.

I love all of you snow pictures! The colors are great in the sledding pictures, the white sets them off. I also enjoyed your b&w post too. Thanks again for stopping by today!

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I just came by to say hi as well. That sure looks like a lot of snow. Bet the kids just love to play in it though. We are ready for spring here too.

Cole said...

Mommy saw your comment and thought "BITE YOUR TONGUE." We are so sick of winter! She'd be down with the hibernating idea, but I only sleep 4 hours at a stretch...

Elizabeth said...

I know you must be SO tired of it, but I'm seriously VERY jealous. I am a little ready for the spring as well... a little. I'm still not quite ready to say goodbye to winter yet.

Spray paint for the snow ... I bet they think you're the coolest! =>

Adeena said...

Wow! That's a lot of snow. ;)

Sometimes I wish we had more. If it's going to be cold and snowy, there might as well be enough for some sledding fun.

But I'm glad I don't have to shovel. ;)

Dan said...

It looked that way here over the weekend, but now it is melting - water and ice everywhere.

I used to love snow days - shovel walks, get paid, drink hot cocoa, and then play games and read. The ideal life.

Mighty M said...

I hope there are not too many snow days for the kids to make up at the end of the year! This has been a wild winter for you that is for sure!

Los said...

So far today, we've been spared ... it's been snowing, but it hasn't really been laying on the ground (pretty much just melting) ... but I get the feeling that is going to change shortly.

Jo said...

If it's winter there should be lovely white blankets of snow ~ you've certainly got that one checked off your list! :)

*lol*...*lol*...oh my gosh I laughed at that blonde joke...out loud by myself ... so cute.

You have got soooo much snow! Where do you live? I haven't checked that out yet but that is truly a lot. We have been so lucky this year we have barely had snow although what we've had early has stayed because of the cold temperatures. Your car is buried!!

It was so nice of you to come to my blog from Marilyn's and for your nice comment. I hope you'll be back again.
Have a lovely evening
Judi

I love snow, but I definitely would NOT love THAT much snow!! Hibernating would be a certainty ~ besides it would be fine in the UK, which grinds to a halt in less than 3 inches!! ;D

Lisa @ Boondock Ramblings said...

Awesome photos! And I love that joke...great one! Usually the ending I've heard is: "when the car stopped a man got out and said, 'Well, I'm home now..."
