I wanted to click away

but I didn’t.

akaish 116 If you didn’t see it,

no matter how sick it makes you feel,

go and read it.

akaish 128 Oprah’s Interview with Child Molesters

akaish 141And then, go check out

Family Watchdog

and see if anyone you know is on the list.

Last year when I checked,

Kaishon’s barber was on the list.

Totally freaked me out.

fails the child,

it fails us all.’

I tried watching Oprah today, I couldn't get past 15 minutes. My stomach started getting upset and I was revolted as to what I was hearing. I know it was important, but I just couldn't bear to think that what they were saying was real. A father to his own daughter......

Anyway, I check the Registered Sex offenders website where I live periodically. It's crazy to think these people can be anyone.

Children are such precious gifts.

Thank you for commenting on my photo today :) it meant a lot to me.

Take care.

I will try-that turns my stomach, but you are right-we need to be aware, and protect our children.

I've looked before and we have someone fairly close to us too. Frightening.
The pictures are adorable - each one is just beautiful!

I will be watching the segment later after I get a little bit of homework done.

Thank you for posting this. It's something we all need to see, even if we don't want to.

That is truly frightening. What is more frightening is that we don't have these registers in Australia.

I didn't realize this was her show today. I think it's probably a super important topic and it's important for parents to know how the bad guys think.

I watched the 2nd half. It totally freaks me out. I swear the worst part of being a parent is knowing all of the bad things that could happen to these innocent little souls we've been given the responsibility to take care of.

Child molesters do not look like monsters. That's what makes them so scary.

I have to admit, I wasn't expecting this post...I wanted to say thank you for your comment, and tell you that I have noticed how encouraging and wonderful you are to so many bloggers/picture takers. I consider that a gift and a ministry.
I will have to check back and read this post more thoroughly. I am headed to superwalmart with all three of my kids. Good times. haha
Your picture for I Heart Faces is beautiful as well. Her smile is gorgeous, and the kiss is, well...tender and fire-filled all at the same time!

This is definitely something we don't want to think about, but it's important to do so. I just checked and there are EIGHT offenders less than a mile from my house and TWENTY between one mile and less than seven miles from my house! WOW! I feel like we are really safe, but you never know! Thanks for sharing this! Oh, and Thanks for visiting my blog!

Oh my, this would have freaked me out too.

Thank you very much for being brave and posting this. This is a topic that really turns people off and they shy away from it. The truth is this problem is a true epidemic. Again, THANK YOU.

I don't watch Oprah but I have heard that these people are pretty sick! Since I don't have children I've never really had the desire to check the registry. But I would if I did!
