Do you remember your 10th Birthday?

I can’t remember mine.

Gary can’t remember his either.

Kaishon’s party is next week.

NOT because I procrastinated…

Well, maybe.

I told him it gives him an extra week to be excited.

He was suspicious.

He is getting so smart

in his old age!

You have the greatest quotes! I love this one by Frederick Douglas. I can't remember my 10th birthday...but now you've got me wanting to call my mom and ask if she does! You've got such a handsome young man :)

LOL Happy B-day to Kaishon. I DO remember being 10. It was a good year. I hope it's a good one for Kaishon as well. :-)

Happy Birthday, Kaishon! I bet your mom still looks at you and can't believe you're no longer a baby. I know I look at my kids all the time and they seem to grow up overnight. Hope you had and will have a wonderful birthday celebration.

I remember thinking that 10 was old because it was double digit...Happy Birthday to the little (or not so little) guy!

Happy Birthday Kaishon.

We celebrated our children's birthday at our convenience, and they had to share their birthdays, so they never knew their real birth date till they learned it from some relatives!

I remember turning ten! It was like I literally woke up and felt a year older. Maybe it was because of the double digits but I sure did feel like a "big girl".

Will he have a big party next weekend? Nothing like the anticipation.

Lovely birthday capture! Ten is cool! I vaguely remember my tenth birthday..it was good as I recall. I just can't believe it was 30-something years ago.

Great quote, too.

Happy Birthday Kaishon!

A great quote but it seems you're already doing all the right things. My 10th birthday? 1941, England! Not many birthday celebrations then!

I do remember my 10th birthday PARTY...it was my first sleepover. I remember all of my birthday parties, my mother made such a big deal & put so much work into them... thats why I always stress myself out about my kids...(Eva & I were talking about her party for next AUGUST last night....Not even kidding)
Can't wait to see the pictures! : )

I don't remember 10, I remember 13, but not 10. I do remember most years I would take candy "cherries" to school. They were hard candy on a green stick, because I was born on George Washington's birthday. We didn't have birthday parties back in "the day" like kids do now.

I do remmeber my 10th birthday. It was one of the only times I was allowed to have some friends over for a birthday party..I thought that was the greatest thing ever. My mom set up a section for games and we all won prizes and then ate cake with a horse on it...I remember everything from that day..lol

I hope Kaishon has a wonderful day!

Double digits is a big milestone! Congratulations!

I remember my 10th because my family had just moved to Greece. Traditionally, mom had always baked our cakes, but the ones at the local bakery looked so incredible. We'd never seen anything like them, so I got to choose one. I picked out a rich looking chocolate cake with lots of fancy decorations.

I was so excited until I took that first bite. Ugh! It was infused with some sort of liquor -- maybe ouzo.

Thanks for visiting me this week- and for leaving a supportive comment on a hard day!

Happy Birthday to your boy!!

I don't remember turning 10... but I remember the big event of my tenth year. I turned 10 in August and was adopted by my dad the following May- a day we still celebrate as my second birthday each year. Also, just a week prior to my tenth birthday, my mom and (step) dad got married. So it was a momentous year for me!

If you get a chance- swing by my place on Monday. I've got a little something for you!

Happy Birthday Kaishon! You are so loved and what a great Mom you have.

You have captured such a wonderful look on his face as he dreams into the candles. Double digits is such a special passageway. Mine was in 1958 and I was living on a farm in the Australian Hunter Valley. I loved farm live so it was a very special time for me.

Take care.
