Kaishon’s school is hosting
a Hats On For Haiti event on Friday.
If you donate .50 you can wear a hat.
This morning I was trying to hand Kaish
.50 to hand in.
And he said he already had some money.
It turns out
my sweet Kaishon
had $42 in his pocket to donate.
He was donating all of his Birthday money.
Every single penny.
And you know what I did?
I tried to talk him out of it.
I really did.
“Honey, that is ALL of your money.
Remember that Ben Ten toy you want at Toys R Us?”
And he said,
“I’ve seen how bad it is on TV Mom.
They need it more than me.”
And he walked out the door.
I am ashamed that I tried to talk him out of it.
You see, I did give to Haiti.
But I did NOT give everything like Kaishon did.
He teaches me lessons constantly.
He is my heart, that child.
My friend Lisa, a fellow Pennsylvania girl, is hosting
a weekly black and white picture event.
You should go visit her at The Long Road to China.
It is a beautiful blog.
Her story is lovely.
