A few sad days

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day.

I have been feeling sort of sad this week.

My best friend is moving away.

Only an hour and ten minutes.

But, still,

an hour and ten minutes.

Kaish is sad that he had to go back to school.

He is struggling with math.

math Gary is sad he has to work 7 days a week.

He is tired. And grumpy.

grumpy And I am just sad about Jen moving.

How do you cheer up when you feel sad?

I bought some new shampoo and conditioner.

I think it will help! : )

shampoo

There are big ships and small ships.

But the best ship of all is friendship.

I'm sorry about your friend moving. Your pictures today brought a smile to me. I love the one of Kaishon - that angle is marvelous!

If you were here, I'd be singing the song, "Be optimistic, never be a burden, be optimistic and smilllleee." :) My daughters used to hate when I sung that to them. What I'm trying to say is that it seems like it's a long distance but it's still in driving range so you'll be able to see one another sorta regularly, right?

My twin sis and I live 1 1/2 hours apart and although we don't see each other but usually once a month, we do talk on the phone at least 3 times a day and then even email and chat with one another. So, cheer up or I'll come over and sing.

Great pictures.

Chocolate candy cheers me up like shampoo and conditioner for you.

My BFF lives over an hour away too. But we have the greatest phone conversations every single day. You will too.

Come over to my blog. My latest post might brighten your day if only temporarily! HUGS!

I am sorry Jen is moving away. That really stinks. I don't know about new shampoo and conditioner helping, but I guess it couldn't hurt. There will be no replacement for Jen, but I will pray and ask God to bring someone along to fill the void a little bit. :(

When I'm sad, large quantities of chocolate is usually involved.

I'm sorry your friend is moving but I bet you find some great new places half way in between.

Tell Kaish to hang in there with the math. Eventually it'll "click" and he'll be so proud of himself.

You tell us about it! I'm sorry Jen is moving. Hubs can be Kaish's tutor, he used to teach math before he started teaching science. Stay warm and if all else fails go to the mall. There is nothing like a little retail therapy or even a mani/pedi!

I go to the drug store and buy silly things...magazines, new shampoo, nail polish, new pens.

It looks like you may do this as well.

She is moving? That stinks!!!
Maybe you can move too...huh? No, that is crazy. Sorry.
Going to school? that is life.
Working too much...that is life, but maybe just a bit too much working.
I try not to get sad...but If I do, it usually only lasts a few days and i eat good food and drink some good wine, then sleep. :)

I'm sorry your friend is moving...that stinks! And the normal routine of work and school is getting to everybody it seems...it's tough being normal again! My advice...a good glass of wine, some chocolate and some great music to cheer you up!

Oh Becky.. God is so wonderful, and His ways are always better than ours. Know that He has a plan for you and your friend Jen (I am so thankful for technology.. it makes it so much easier to stay connected without it costing a million bucks!). And know that He will always fill you up and CHEER you up! Stay in the Word.. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, with prayer and petition, present your request to God. And the PEACE of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus." Phil. 4:6-7. My boy just wrote that out on a piece of paper today, rolled it up, rubberbanded it, and told me he had made a scroll. How wonderful that he already has that treasure hidden in his heart!
I'll be praying for you to see and KNOW the path that God has set before you, and to walk it with JOY! :<)
Love you, my friend....

Oh math. I hate math. I am going to have to hire tutors for my kids because I just don't get math.

I'm sorry your best friend is moving. I know that's not easy. My best friend is all the way in Ohio.

Sorry your friend is moving away. That has happened to me lots of times.

What do I do when I am feeling sad? I normally try to lose myself in some activity or other!

I too struggled in math.

I can understand the best friend thing. I moved from Oregon to the netherlands..there isnt one thing thats the same for me here. I left everyone behind and let me tell you there was some dark days...so as hard as it is..she is only an hour and 10 minutes away..not a 15 hour plane ride away, across the ocean,in a strange country, and sending you e-mails begging you to send over large amounts of chocolate chips and tylenol pm's..LOL

Ah, I'm so sorry about Jen moving. I hope you all can keep in touch via phone and email. Sorry about the rest of it too. Winter is a hard time to be sad. Hard to pull yourself out of the sadness in winter---but you can do it. Count your blessing. Find something to be grateful for. If that doesn't help, go to youtube and watch kitten videos. No one can watch kittens and not smile. Good luck.

I'm sorry that your friend is moving but with that distance, you can work out a visit at least once a month!

Awww...I'm so sorry, Rebeckah!

At my saddest points I've always volunteered somewhere for a few hours. It's amazing how "helping" can lift your mood. Oh, and going to Old Navy. That always works for me, too! :o)

It never is easy to have a friend move away, but I'm certain that the two of you will find ways to remain close. What do I do when I feel sad? I try to count all of my blessings!

I'm so sorry you're sad. Your friend Jen moving will give you a place to go for special visits. Maybe sleepovers!

Go see a funny movie, that's what I do when I'm down in the dumps!

To cheer me up, I'll snuggle up in bed watching a funny movie with my dogs. And they actually watch it and laugh always on the right parts :)

A friend of mine is moving to the opposite coast very soon! :( Thank goodness for email and Facebook!

I just try to make myself laugh, usually by reading or watching something funny.

Sounds like you might need a funny movie the whole family can laugh at!!

I relieve sadness in many ways, but the main ones are long walks, reading a book, or writing a computer program. Doing any of those things lets me turn my mind onward and let the sadness pass.

Think of it not as your friend moving away, but as the friendship growing into a new phase.

I'm sad that I may be moving away from friends and family :( Boo! I guess I try to see the silver lining when I'm sad.....or I eat my favorite food....go shopping. I wish I lived closer. I'd come over with YOUR favorite food and take you shopping :) But something I can do either way...I can pray for you. Pray for all 3 of you!! :)

Sorry about your friend moving away. I've had to deal with several work friends (who became close outside-of-work friends) move over the past few years. It's rough and I totally feel your pain.

I LOVE the church picture!

Awwww...that is sad that your friend is moving away. And math was the bane of my existence as a child so I feel Kaishon's pain.

For me, writing always helps to make me feel better ... I hope it has for you.

Sorry that your friend is moving...sorry to hear Kaishon's struggling with math...sorry to hear your husband has to work 7 days in a row...what I usually try to do is take the things I'm sad about and turn them around and I will try to make a happy list! :)
Great picture! XX Lori

When I'm sad, I take a little blue pill. :) Honestly, you have every right to be sad. It stinks to not get to live so near your friend, and Gary's job is ridiculous. I think the best thing is to get out and do something fun. Let's see...I'll give you an assignment. How about sledding? Along with that assignment is to take lots of photos and share them! :) Hope you're feeling better soon!

I'm sorry that your friend is moving...I've experienced that first hand. Five years ago my dearest and best friend moved 5 1/2 hours away. The good news is that it doesn't matter. We are still best friends and talk almost every day. I would give anything for her to only be an hour away!
Enjoy your friend...distance does nothing but make the heart grow fonder! (haphazard quote and not sure of who said it...)
