A Cure for the Winter Blues!

Today was such a bleary day.true story tuesday final

I thought maybe I should come home and

do some yoga

winter 1 except, I don’t know how

to do yoga!

So. then I thought about coming home and

jumping on some furniture.

That would definitely be sure to relive stress, right?

winter 2 Unfortunately, I got there too late!

There were already furniture jumpers!

So then I thought maybe I would have a drink.

That would be sure to relax me, right?winter 3 But then I remembered.

I don’t drink.

I made some chocolate chip cookies

for the couch jumpers instead.

winter 4 Are you getting tired of winter?

Or are you just fine?

O, wind,
If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?

Just fine. Only we are having an ice and wind storm on Thurs-Fri. Pray our trees don't fall on the house.

I'm sick of winter! Here in Michigan we had a few days of temps in the 30's and melting snow. It's done though - today it's cold and snowing again!
I just love your photos! You capture faces beautifully!

Well, today I'm tired of winter. But only because it was a very dreary, bleak, grey, rainy, blah kind of day. When the snow covers everything like a sparkly blanket, and the sun is shining, and the air is crisp and not damp, I like Winter. :)

I just love your posts. The pictures are so great!

I am SOOOOO TIRED OF WINTER!!! ;)

Kristina P. said...

Very tired, but fortunately, it's been sort of spring-like here in Utah, which is odd for this time of year.

Norah said...

So very tired of winter. Exhausted of being cold. Love that last picture. Love it!

I'm so very very tired of winter. It was in the low 50's here today though. I think that's only making my Spring Fever worse. Yuck.

Done with winter here. Done with cookies? Never.

That cookie dough looks amazingly delicious! Winter has been pretty mild and a little sunny this week so don't mind it at all! :)

I am tired of winter on the weeks I have outdoor recess duty, which is this week. Otherwise I love it! :-)

I was fed up with winter until we started having 70 and 60 degree weather. Now it can stay awhile!

Eternal Lizdom said...

We had a nice cold break this weekend- temps even in the 50's.

Today, the temp dropped and it started snowing at lunchtime. I stood outside, looked up at the sky, and just enjoyed the feel of the snow as it landed on my cheeks, my chin, my lips...

So I have to say that I am still enjoying winter!

But if someone made me some chocolate chip cookies, that would bring me joy, too!

Out here in Seattle, winter is about rain. I love rain. Let it rain every day. I have awesome rain gear. On really stormy days, my daughter and I go out to West Seattle and stand where the waves break against the sea wall and get soaked! One time a huge log almost hit us.

That said, I love 78 and breezy too . . .

MMMMMMM....Chocolate chip cookes sounds de-lish right now!!!

As for Winter, I'm soooooo done with it. I'm ready for Spring now. We've had 10 straight days of rain now and I am not a fan of rain as it is. bleh :OP

Kimmy said...

Okay, I meant cookies....not cookes....lol!

It's been great in Toronto, so I can't complain. If I do, I will wake up to a huge winter storm (with my luck).

countryfriedmama said...

Yoga makes me agitated. All I can think about while I'm supposed to be concentrating on my breath is my to-do list.

I should not complain about my winter. It was 50 degrees down South today. And yet, I am dreaming of my flip-flops...

Jason, as himself said...

If I were having your kind of winter, yes, I would be absolutely sick of it!

But here...I can't complain.

Erin said...

I don't mind the winter...it's the endless rain I can do without! Some more on the way to us all day tomorrow too!

Chocolate Covered Daydreams said...

By the looks of the last picture, I'd say that you didn't get to make the cookies before the cookie dough was demolished!

You are one excellent photographer!

Love your shots of the day! I'm so tired of winter it's so bitter cold here...I'm hiding under a blanket.

angelcel said...

Tired of it, BUT Jan is almost over, Feb is a short month and in March we'll start seeing all the spring bulbs peeping through the soil. (Which is more or less what Shelley said, only his was better)!

Sonya said...

I'm sorta done with it. This is the first year I am anxious for it to come to an end. I think it's because I have a new camera and I want spring to come to shoot flowers and baby animals and the sun. Oh how I miss the sun!

I was tired of it and then we had about a week of beautiful weather and now are supposed to get slammed with an ice/snow storm on Thursday. I am ready though for those gorgeous Spring days that are coming soon.♥

Looks like you had a full house. How fun! That cookie dough is sooooo tempting.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Jenny said...

If you asked me about a week ago, I would have said yes due to the big freeze, but now it is back in the 60's and 70's so it is more like Fall or Spring here.

Pam D said...

No, not tired of it yet! We still haven't gotten a decent snow here, and I WANT one! And, after a few days of spring-like temps, I realized that I really would like a little more cold (and the weather graciously complied). Maybe it's menopause and all of the hot-flashes, but I'm just not ready for it to get warm yet! (and mmmmm for the chocolate chip cookies-you are SUCH a great mom!)

Pam said...

I am tired of winter and I sure would like one of those choc. chips cookies...oh yeah, and a glass of milk please!!
The two boys in my pic are my grandchildren. One is 9 and the other is a year. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I'm TIRED of it...but I get that way with every season as it winds down. Hope we don't get too much more snow!

Josh, Steph, The Boys and Maddie said...

For once... I was actually looking forward to snow! I don't have a newborn baby to keep me from building snowmans because it is too cold outside... and the one winter I have been desperately trying to go outside and go sledding or build a snowman... that is the one year we have had no snow... just rain.... that's irony for you!

Foursons said...

Oh girl, I hate to tell ya' but where I live we have been in the mid 70's every day and it has been GORGEOUS!

Martha in PA said...

I'm still cool with it, but it's my first one in 6 years... so I am a little weird. Pics are great. Cookie dough yum!

Rachel said...

Stress relief? I just haul out a pile of blankets, tell kids to make a fort without breaking anything - then go curl up with a good book while they destroy the living room :)

Chocolate chip cookies make everything better! And I adore that photo!

Darcel said...

LOVE choc chip cookies. Not having much of a winter here. I miss the snow.

We got several days of sun and 70 degrees before it turned rainy and 50 again...but this is so much better than the rain and 30 degree crap we were dealing with! I live in SA--we don't have winter!
