Up, Up and Away!

We are so thankful

for sledding this week.

Life is grand.  concert 005concert 006‘Enjoy when you can,

and endure when you must.’

abcU is for Up!7 clown

Do you go sledding?

How much snow did you get?

Do you like it?

My feet are still frozen-

but so is the smile on my face.

Back in 1975, I was in the university of windsor in Canada, My apt was next to a primary school. The children played in the snow just like yours. Thanks for memories.

It's been cold enough for snow, but dry and clear. Our city is built on hills. When it snows the steep streets are closed, so the sledders take over. We don't always gets snow every winter, but I'm hoping for it.

Fantastic pics!

We've had a dusting of snow - but more is on the way tonight!
They certainly look like they are having fun!
Great shot!

Wish we got enough snow to go sledding! What am I saying, I just wish we had snow! And I laughed so hard when I read your comment about the tree being a gift from Hubs I had to go pee! Thanks for the great laugh!!!

Well, I typed out a comment, hit send, and got some weird reply. *sniff* I think I pretty much said that we don't see much snow down here in Georgia and would be much obliged if you would ship some to us! :<)

Great pictures! No snow here, yet. But it is COLD. Zero. Too cold to sled even if we had snow, I think!

Oh, what fun! Reminds me of my Montana days and all the fun my kids and I had in the snow! And again, every time I come to your blog and see Kaishon's beautiful eyes and smile I find myself smiling back!

Have a great week!

I love that you take the kids sledding! do you and Gary sled?

I never went sledding, but I used to love skiing and would go to Banff, Calgary, CA every winter with the local community college for a week. It was cheaper that way. Now? I just talk about the memories!

I do enjoy sledding, but my son is too young yet to really apprecaite those big hills without getting hurt. We are having our first big storm as I type this. We are supposed to have blizzard like conditions tomorrow with 40 mph wind gusts! Brrrrrrr! Owen has been asking all week when we will be making a snowman and I keep telling him soon...very soon! Enjoy this season!

I always look forward to when the snow first comes. Though it's been a long time since I've been sledding.

The second shot is great, it gives me a bit of vertigo.
It's been years since I have last been sledding, not much snow where I live now (and no hills), but my parents usually get lots of snow.

I am so sorry but we haven't had any snow in the past few years. Just a bit to remind us that snow is white! We had two or three days of frost however, which was great for skating, but that was one year ago on New Year's Day! Now the temperature is 11 centigrade, so rather warm for the time of year.
Lovely photos!! Have fun!

Just as much as you did! However, no sledding here... and now all of this rain.

Love the pictures. The boys look thrilled - that first snow is always thrilling, even if it is only an inch!

Christal said...

You make me smile... for real!! I miss you too! And the fun we had!! I don't know who you are, but it was a blast! lol

These pics look so fun! We got a couple of inches and I wish I can say I took the kids out... but I have been running with my head cut off since we got back and I don't know how to catch myself back up!! Hope your feet melt soon, and have a good day!!!

Sledding is so fun! I tried it again a few years ago and realized it was so much easier as a kid! We have nothing but rain here in Long Island NY! lol Enjoy the snow!

Not enough snow to go sledding here in Alabama...thankfully! We are looking forward to seeing the white stuff when we head to Ohio for Christmas. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...just not like Christmas without it. Maybe we'll do some sledding of our own.

I go sledding EVERY chance I get!!! I love the white stuff. OK only gets, on average, 10 inches a year, so not very many opportunities to go, but I love it when I do! The pics of Kaish are great!!

Good morning! I wanted to thank you for stopping in to visit and the sweet words. I hope you get as much sledding in as you want and clear skies and green grass when you've had enough fun!

Ohhhhh I want some snow! Mother Nature teased us by having it snow last night before bed...but then she clicked the temperature up 2 degrees and it turned to rain. If it had stayed 2 degrees colder, Princess Nagger would have gotten a snow day, because we would have had a lot of snow!

LOVE the pictures - hopefully we'll get to do some of that fun this winter! :) Happy WW! :)

I am not a snow-baby by any stretch of the imagination, but the one thing I DO miss about my childhood up north is the sledding... it was always such an adventure, even if it I did it in my own (flat) front yard!

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I did get a new lens- Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II. I heard that it was a really sharp lens and I'm really enjoying it. It is the first lens I've bought since my kit lens.

It looks like they had a blast sledding! We don't get a lot of snow in the Piedmont NC. Maybe once or twice a year. It's usually melted by noon so not a whole lot of fun.

My kids were out in the snow ALL day yesterday! They should have been absolutely freezing, because they were soaked through, but they were loving life. Sledding is tons of fun!

Love your pictures! Thanks for the comment on the domestic fringe. Nice to meet you!
