Timeless at BranchCreek Church

SundaysinmyCityOur church is very special.

They are always reaching out to the community!

I love that. timeless 013This weekend

our Super Duper Bestest Friends,

David, Tina and Baby Sophia,

came to attend Timeless with us.

sunday citar It really was magical.

Sophia is magical.

We love her.timeless 001 She is a perfect baby.

Seriously perfect.

How could she not be though

with such wonderful parents? timeless 002Shoshi and Kaish had fun.

They wanted to meet Santa.

Santa wasn’t present.timeless 005

‘He who has not Christmas in his heart

will never find it under a tree.’

~Roy L. Smithtimeless 007
’Christmas, children, is not a date.

It is a state of mind.’

~Mary Ellen Chasetimeless 008
’I have always thought of Christmas time,

when it has come round,

as a good time;

a kind, forgiving, charitable time;

the only time I know of,

in the long calendar of the year,

when men and women seem

by one consent to open

their shut-up hearts freely,

and to think of people below them

as if they really were

fellow passengers to the grave,

and not another race of creatures

bound on other journeys. ‘

~Charles Dickens

timeless 010 Tina didn’t know that this was a sheep.

Seriously.

How can you be over 5 and not know

what a sheep is?

Don’t worry!

I am going to babysit Sophia often

so I can teach her farm animals.

timeless 011 timeless 012 How good does Gary look with a baby?

FABULOUS, right?

timeless 009

And so does David.

He is a prodigious father.

Truly amazing.

Does your church, synagogue, or temple

do anything special

for the community during the

month of December?

Thanks for stopping by. I don't celebrate Christmas but I did click through the link and Timeless seems like a great way to get everyone into the holiday spirit and not just the material aspects of it. I hope your family enjoys your holidays and Sophia is just the cutests.

I was going to ask you on FB how Timeless was. I had wanted to go, but thought it more important to attend the Mission night they had at Gwynedd Sq last evening. Adults and kids alike, they had three outreach projects - my mom's stocking project for two different groups, making dinners to be frozen for Manna on Main St, and repacking rice from 50 lb bags to gallon zip locks for Hope Prison Ministries. They also do the angel tree for Community House and Hope Prison Ministires to provide gifts to children and families. Tara and I both really enjoyed helping out.

I want baby Sophia for my very own. Can she be my gift? I swear, she will make me feel 'timeless'. :)
Gary does look nice with a baby...they make you younger. GO tell him that.
I think your church is wonderful...as are YOU.

Girl I LOVE your pictures - that little girly is to-doe-for cute. I mean amazingly cute -- those lashes?!

and you know my church basically only exists to serve the community - we try and do it all year long . . . but especially in December we have a giant Christmas toy giveaway -- we're talking thousands of toys and people - it's so fun! :-)

Yes, During December our church has lots of activities and programs for and by the children. Yes, Gary does, indeed, look good with a baby. Is that a hint? You know, Charles Dickens really understood the meaning of Christmas. A.J. and I saw A Christmas Carol yesterday and it really was touching. Enjoy your Sunday.

Your photos are so lovely as usual! Everybody looks great with the baby. Your son is really growing fast into a handsome young man! Thanks for sharing and for your visit.
Our church has a very special Chritmas service. We have a little group of singers and musiciens practising carols. There are Christmas decorations and the children have a short play to perform. After church we have coffee. On Christmas Eve there's also a service.

Beautiful Pics. Yes my Church is reaching out with food to feed families in our community. We are raising money to help a couple missionaries as well. It is really awesome to give outside of ourselves and be a part of something bigger than I could I ever do alone.

Thanks for stopping by. I am blown away by your photos! The one of Sophia's little shoes is so sweet and her eyes are gorgeous!
Our church has a program called Manna meals. We found that there were kids in our local schools who were not getting supper, because of finances. Different volunteers now make sack suppers and deliver them to school for these kids. This month we've been collecting for food baskets for the families of these kids.

Great post today!! First off, I love that first quote... yep, Christmas isn't found under a tree! Great photos and looks like a wonderful time with friends.

I love being a part of a church that does so much. We have a couple different programs going on this month, one of them is feeding needy families, and there are alot of those in Michigan! It's great to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. :)

Sorry Santa wasn't around. What a disappointment. And I am so happy for you that you have such a good church. I'm finally feeling that special connection to mine. It's great to find that.
And that you for the uber sweet comments you left at The Fifty Factor about me! You made me blush:)

That's wonderful. I attend Times Square Church, which is missions church, so they are always doing things. They usually just do awesome praise and worship concerts over the Christmas week. Of course with over 200 voices it's pretty special. What is nice is that it's in Times Square, so we always have lots of people from out of town to invite.

We used to attend a very community oriented church. Not so much now that we've moved, sadly. We try to reach out as a family, though, and do a 12 days of Giving during December.
