My advice...
Enjoy THIS time, right now, because even through all the high school drama, it's the most fun you'll ever have.
Beautiful pics as usual.

Beautiful photos. Wow, advice.. do they ever really take it. I think we need to experience the good and the bad to make us what we are. I guess I would still say, don't sweat the small stuff and if people can't accept you for who or what you are, it is there loss, and not yours. Be true to yourself!

How beautiful! I love her boots!

The advice I would give her is to not be a follower.

She truly is beautiful. The advice I would give her is always controversial. Graduate with a degree that will get you a career, a real job, for life. Come as close to your passion as you can, but if your passion will not bring you income after you graduate, find a major that will do that. I work with college interns who get this and are employed before they graduate, with benefits and the rest of their schooling paid by the company. Psychology majors are waiting tables. Let the naysayers begin.

Great pictures!! Wow!

Hmm... I'd say to her- always try your best, but accept your worst. It's ok to make mistakes, but not ok to avoid trying =o)

My only advice is to choose a major that lets you explore all kinds of classes. There is so much cool stuff to learn in college to get bogged down in vocational training!

She is absolutely gorgeous. As far as advice is concerned, it's simple, really - Live completely, Love fully, and never make the same mistake twice.

What a gorgeous girl. How fun to take pictures of her. I'm sure you know by now that I was not one of those kids that went to college, although I wish I was. Just reading this makes me envy. What comes to my mind as far as advice for a 17 year old would be...be true to yourself...don't try to be someone else...do something you are passionate about...dare to dream and go after those dreams...and most of all, don't be afraid of making mistakes...instead think of mistakes as oppportunities to learn.

I love this quote by Henry Ford! XXOO Lori

She is gorgeous. I'll take her scarf...when she is ready to give it up. LOL
Advice: Study hard and make good grades the first semester in college or you will be forever digging yourself out of the GPA hole.

Gorgeous pictures! Advice? Gosh, I don't know. Maybe this: "Don't wait to do all of those things you want to do with your life. There may never be a better time than now!"

Beautiful, Rebeckah!! She is gorgeous! As far as advice, as you know I am doling it out now to Coll. I keep telling her that she's got so much good stuff awaiting her and just because she's filled out the applications for one major, it doesn't mean that she's locked into that. College is the beginning of a whole new wonderful world.

Oh, she's been accepted to Penn State Main and also West Chester. Still waiting on the others.... lots of nail biting, however that fear of not being accepted anywhere is a thing of the past. She knows she WILL get to go somewhere.

She's a beauty! I'd tell her stay focused but have fun. You can balance both.

I love the first picture! I agree she is a beauty! How exciting to be going off to college!

Advice? Hmmm....

Most teens don't listen to advice. But if I had any advice I would tell her to

1.) Stay focused on her goals
2.) Don't rush into relationships, marriage or kids. Not unless she understands that she may have to give up or put off college and career for either of the above.
3.) Live life; have fun and don't let anyone or anything hold you back from your dreams
4.) ALWAYS stay close with your family. Especially your parents. I realize now how much my parents sacrificed for me. I wish I would have appreciated them sooner... But don't let petty differences stand in the way of your relationship. Like the old saying goes "Pick your battles"
5.) Never EVER let go of your morals for someone or something. It is so important to stand up for what you believe in because that makes up who you are.

There you go... now if only I can follow my own advice!!

Stopping by from SITS :)!

Advice: Remember where you came from in the sea of new people you're going to meet. It will always keep you grounded with the millions of new experiences coming your way.

She's lovely. That spark in her eye is unmistakable.

I don't know that I've much to offer by way of advice. Stay focused. Stay true to yourself. Take it all in, not just the social aspect but all of it, appreciate every little thing you learn, appreciate how big the world really is, appreciate your place in it. I'm excited for her.

Buy paper cups, bowls, and silverware. Because no matter how much you tell yourself you will wash stuff...you won't.

Enjoy every moment.

Eyeglasses & Endzones said...

My advice would be to really spend time KNOWING what you want to do with your life. Don't be wishy washy. If you THINK you want to be a nurse...DO IT. Don't let your youth and parties get in the way of getting the most out of life!!!

She is BEAUTIFUL and so is your portrait taking...your photoshop must be back up...NO?

She sure is a gorgeous girl! She and Brittany have a lot in common...Brittany can't wait for college, either. I would tell them both to enjoy the journey, stay focused, and to never compromise your morals or values for anyone.

Brian Miller said...

chase what you are passionate, dont settle for a job that will suck the life out of you, or that you will regret in 5 years...plan now to get there. enjoy the journey, there will be bumps in the road, but stay on the path...

wonderful shots!

Oh, she is a beautiful young woman. I hope she has the time of her life...I would tell her to do what ever she wants to do in life...dream big and leap over any and all obstacles.
Can you believe I did not go to college? It was not even an option. I put myself through cosmotology college. Yep. But I finished and got a job. My girls, they will go to college and it is not even an option!!!

Beautiful! I would tell her to listen to her heart and follow her dreams no matter how silly they may seem. Almost 20 years I wanted to go to college to be an architect/designer and I allowed myself to be talked into another direction because "it made more sense." Look at me today abandoning all those years of training and work to pursue the original desires of my heart!

Thanks for stopping over and leaving such lovely encouragement! Happy Thanksgiving!

She is gorgeous! I can't believe she is only 17.

I certainly remember the time before college. So much anticipation! Just remember to stay focused, and not to take yourself too seriously.

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

My advice:
Have fun, be wild and have fun.
Get clear with yourself what you want to achieve in life and work towards this goal.

She is so gorgeous!

What great pictures. Leaving high school in England and going to college was one of the most pivotal moments of my life.

I would say be yourself, work hard, be thoughtful towards others and just enjoy the time at college because it will go by quickly.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I really appreciate your comment.
