an excuse…

Autumn,

the year's last,

loveliest

smile.

William Cullen Bryant

shoshi for autumn beauty

logo i heart faces

Well, ummmmmmmmmmmm,

I, sort of, kind of

have an excuse why my autumn picture

for I Heart Faces isn’t exactly up to par this week.

It does NOT involve the fact

that I was on a plane all day.

It does NOT involve the fact

that my creativity is at an all time low!

And, it does NOT involve the fact

that Kaish is sick and tired of pictures….

I can’t make photoshop work.

It is saying all my scratch disks are full.

I don’t know what scratch disks are.

Too bad Drew is stuck in Atlanta.

She would definitely be able to figure it out.

Have I told you that she is a genius?

Funny story:

My Daddy was very worried about me

going on this trip to Texas.

He thought I was staying in a hotel

with Drew and he thought SHE was a boy.

He just told me tonight.

And I laughed and laughed.

I mean, why on earth, would I EVER

stay in a hotel with a boy named Drew?

A boy named Sam maybe,

but never a boy named Drew.

(kidding. kidding)

I told my Dad to ask me next time

he is worried about something like that : )

I will give you a nice juicy post

all about the workshop

as soon as possible!

I hope you have a wonderful

week of Autumn!

What is your favorite color leaf?

I would pick GREEN!

P.S. Everything really is

bigger in Texas!

I've never used Photoshop, but my daughter does. I'll ask her about scratch disc when she wakes up.

I once had a girlfriend named Rikki and for the longest time my parents thought I was going out with the "guys." It was unintentional subterfuge.

Those bright green leaves of spring are my favorites.

Oh, how funny! Drew... lol.. that's hilarious! (and I am just sick at the thought that she and Angie are in my neck of the woods and I don't get to see them...). I LOVE this picture.. his face is just priceless! And my favorite leaf colorS are happening right now.. deep reds, screaming oranges, and brilliant yellows....
(can't wait for your workshop post, too..)

Tomara said...

Lovely! I love the joy on his face and the colors are very "fall-y"!

I LOVE the motion and the action in this photo though!

And TOTALLY jealous that you got to go to Dallas! MAN!

And photoshop uses memory from your computer in order to work. Whenever you work in photoshop, it uses a certain space to save everything, kind of like a little garbage disposal for the picture scraps while you are working. When that space gets filled, it won't let you work anymore.

Problem is, I don't know how to fix it. You can googe "scratch disk full" and it can help you. It did that with mine, and all I had to do was restart my computer and photoshop and it fixed itself. So I'm kind of thinking I was getting that error because my computer is dumb. LOL

I say, tell your husband you just have to have a whole new computer. ;)

That is too funny about your Dad! Now, who's SAM? :) Sure hope Kaishon gets to feeling better quick...he's had such a rough time of it, hasn't he? My favorite leaf color is defintely YELLOW! The brighter, the better!

That is a FUN picture! I love it. I am jealous of your trip and can't wait to hear more!!

I love that expression! Hilarious! Great picture. I don't know if this will help, but photoshop tells me my scratch disks are full when my hard drive memory is full (my computer is getting old and I am constantly taking pictures off my hard drive onto an external hard drive to free up memory). I'm not sure if that is your problem, it could be something completely different. Hope it helps. :)

This has to be one of my favorites! I love the background and the colors, and the face is priceless! Thanks for sharing this photo!

I love this photo! His face says it all...Oh too be a kid again! As for your start up disk being full, you need to transfer some of your older photos onto an external hard try and then delete them off your computer, this will clear up space! I love how you started your post!

Christal said...

i'm not really sure what your name is... but you are so cute! I think your entry is great! Sorry to hear about your son, and your photoshop! I can't help you with scratch discs either.. I don't know what they are. HOpe Kevin, I mean Kaishon, gets feeling better soon! It was so fun meeting you and hanging out with you!

It was so awesome meeting you too! You are so super sweet!!!!

Scratch disk full... have you tried deleted everything from your recycle bin and restarting your computer. I think someone told me that it works sometimes. You may also need to clear some stuff off your hard drive. Hope it helps :)

Emily said...

You may not think the picture is up to par but I have to say that I love the emotion you captured in this one. Such joy. He lights up the whole shot and I definitely give you credit for capturing motion. It's not easy to do. I still need to work on that one. Sounds like Texas was fun. ;-) I can't wait to hear more about it.
