Dallas, Texas

Here are some of my pictures

from our fabulous Photo Walk

last week in Dallas, Texas

at the I Heart Faces workshop.

dallas 009They are in an unedited state,

so take them with a grain of salt…dallas 002 This store was filming a commercial

while we were visiting.

So cool.

I took a picture of the owner.

I want to edit her though.

She was very pretty!

And she had a great hat.

And an even greater smile.

dallas 003 I am a sucker for smiles….

This horse, Charlie, gave carriage rides.

He was a friendly foal.

I am glad I took his picture.

dallas 004 People were nicer in Texas than they are in Philadelphia.

Everyone smiled so much.

I love smiles!

dallas 005 We didn’t ride on the trolley.

They reminded me of Philly.

I don’t ride on the trolley in Philly either.

I do see them though : )

dallas 006 I want to edit this so badly.

Since I can’t though,

isn’t it the coolest picture of a dove?

I was glad to discover it!

The world is so filled with

amazing sights.

We just have to take a moment

to look around!

dallas 007 Here are the pretty girls.

Really amazing photographers.

I was surrounded by greatness.

dallas 008They blew me away!

dallas 010 If I had to live in the city,

I would want a house with turrets.

Isn’t that romantic?

So lovely!dallas 011 Goodnight Dallas, Texas!

Thank you for a lovely visit!

dallas 012

Now I am back home.

Home with my heart.dallas 001

Does your house have turrets?

Would you like some?

Ours does not!

I would like some.

Gary said I was odd

when I asked him if he wanted some.

So, I am guessing he does not care if we have turrets.

Kaishon just giggled when I asked him.

You're too funny, Rebeckah!

And your photos are still awesome without the editing! You do have that "eye" for photography, that's for sure!

Oh great photos! I've been to Dallas once but never long enough to take all these pictures. I love, love, love the turret!! Thank you SO very much for coming by with your well wishes for all of us. We survived..Mocha still has steroids in her system so now she is eating like a pig, drinking a lot and is crankier than normal. Ugh. I am happy she is eating though! Your sweet thoughts and prayers meant so much to us.

Michelle and her kitties..lots of hugs!!

Nice to see Dallas through your eyes and great pictures. I have a dear old friend I visit in Dallas and I swear I have never seen Dallas like you did. There are lots of turrets here you would go crazy photography them!Have a wonderful Sunday.

Yeah, boys. I've always lived with boys. Brother, sons, grandsons. I know how ambivalent they are toward turrets. I would have one if it were up to me. Dallas is a pretty place and there are lots of smiles in the south. Now...........that just might be a pigeon. Just saying.

I like the picture of the women running. Everyone looks very happy.

Your photos are awesome just as they are. It's the heart of the photographer, not the editing software that speaks through your photos!

I love turrets.... so cool to have a round room... placing furniture could be difficult. We were in an octagonal room in Monticello yesterday! Amazing place so indoor photos.... I was having such a hard time keeping my shutter finger still!

You don't need PS, Rebeckah. Your photos already rock without it. Love seeing your take on the workshop, but my favorite is always the photos of Kaish. Love his smile! =)

Those are wonderful pictures. I wish I knew how to photograph.

These are great! Ofcourse people in the south are nice; girl, it's that SOUTHERN charm. LOL ;)AND The pic of the bird is awesome, however, it's not a dove. It's a pidgeon. Maybe he feels like a dove though? LOL.

That looks like sooooo much fun! I checked out their website, very cool. And I love turrets. There is an old building here where I used to take tap lessons, and it has several. Sounds like a stop for Sundays in MY city...

Okay, you've shifted by opinion of Dallas a little with these photos. It doesn't look like the wasteland I figured it to be -- it even looks like it might be a fun place to visit!

My house does have a turret. It's an architectural oddity that the original designer attached to the garage. I use it to store lumber for woodworking projects.

Here's a picture of it: http://www.cbbain.com/Pages/PropertyDetail.aspx?ListingID=32664384&CSPS=v1-XQAAgABOAAAAAAAAAAAAAFIKQAi1wBkNCfqLBdYrd4HH_RYZzxYXqSHBSUUYAWN9kCHBoRsKMIKmY8WbDFh8J4NKHSVI0AAA0&TR=1&SPN=0&SL=0&ST=3&NAV=1

I AM ABSOLUTELY JELOUS THAT YOU GOT TO GO TO THIS! And I heart about the Rebeckah and Becky story! So funny! It is totally something I would have done. I don't put two and two together most of the time!!!!

Oh and by the way... I stopped by your house today to clean and bring you a full course meal plus dessert... but no one was home! Next time I will call ahead of time! :D

I have always wanted a "round room"... always, always, always - one where the sun comes through brightly and I could sit and read. So, I guess a turret would definitely fit the bill.

Great photos, Rebeckah, unedited and all. Love each of them. I will be calling you after the holiday. The kiddos have a short week so lunch would not work. I am also going to get in touch wt Martha in PA. I think it will be a blast.

You are hysterical -- i can hear you talking when I read your words!! Love your writing. Guess I missed the picture of the pretty girls -- ha!

Your pictures are beautiful!

Turrets (or Gazebo rooms as we call them) are popular here in Greensboro. They are usually part of the master bedroom (sitting room) or an office. We looked at a lot of houses with them but found them odd for furniture placement so we opted out. They are very pretty, I agree!

Oh wow! Such great photos!! I'm cracking up at the one of us walking. LOL. Angie was slowing us up with her short legs:-)

It's neat to see all the details you got of the city. So happy you came to Dallas!!
