Too cute!
We always had puppies and dogs growing up. My own personal one was Lassa. I got to name her when I was 3. I guess I couldn't say Lassie.
The most popular name for our dogs was Sparky in our family.
The most popular names for the farm cats was Shasta.

That's great!

I got a puppy as a surprise for my 6th birthday, and I probably looked like that when my parents walked in the house with her... they had gone out during the day without me which was rare way back then and I had asked for a puppy book (you know the Golden Books)....so when I ran to the door and saw the puppy I was so excited. Duchess was a brown and white border collie. I had her until I was 12 when we had to be "put to sleep" due to illness. Never had another dog until I got Princess in 2003 at 45 yrs!!

Gosh - I am totally loving that photo! You can just feel her excitement - beautiful!

I had a doggie named Bandit and he totally lived up to his name. He was a super sneak.

That is one excited face - how fun! I had a poodle growing up - his name was Max (named after the Bionic Dog).

Look at those beautiful eyes!
We've always had dogs. My grandmother trained dogs and bred collies so my dad was always playing with a litter of pups as a kid.
In addition to the dogs at our own house, we had 6 to play with at Mamaw's.
My other grandmother detests dogs. LOL.

Just an awesome expression of shock, awe, and EXCITEMENT!!! Thank you for letting me help you out, Rebeckah. It was a pleasure. I still wish you could have sent me the larger (original) file. I may have done a better job editing. I did have fun practicing how to expand the canvas. =)

I hope you're not working late again. Missed you!

Thanks for your comments on my blog today. It is always fun to meet new bloggers and from my quick browse through your blog I love how colourful and uplifting it is.

I am a sucker for blogs full of great fun photos, especially of family life. It makes me want to get out there with my camera and snap away some more.

I look forward to having a closer look at your blog once I have finished some of the more boring domestic jobs on todays list!

Adorable shot... she definitely looks excited!! And we had cocker spanials when I was growing up; first Ginger, then Honey, and finally Mandy. Lawd, the hours I spent trying to comb out those ears.....

What a great shot. There is nothing like the excitement about a new puppy. As a person who has been living with one or more dogs for the past 2 decades, I have only one word for her parents . . . And I say this with love and compassion: suckers! =)

Great picture! The eyes really look so sharp and pretty. Look at you having a photo editor on hand. :) Jennifer did a lovely job.

So a dog? We had Joe. Joe was a bad dog. He ran away a lot, chased cars and jumped all over us. He got to wear a cone over his head on occasion. He also "got around" if ya know what I mean. :) Maybe that's why I have no desire to get a dog.
