You seem to have so much fun stuff to do in your area. I'm so jealous! Maybe I just need to explore more around here. LOL Is that Kaishon's serious pose? He's being his adorable self as usual. =) And the curls on little girl... love it!

Yes, I rode carousels when I was little, but not until my mom showed me the horses weren't real and would not eat me! Apparently (according to Mom), I just didn't like the way they looked at me as if I was a scrumptious meal. LOL

Beautiful page you have, and great shots for Citar!

Great photos ... a carousel is always a winner, something so simple and so amazing. I have heard that quote about storytelling before and it just always calls to me ... such an important message!

I'm with Jason, as always, beautiful thoughts and pics. I was in the kitchen mopping and sweating, thinking how I just want to lie down more than anything, but there's things to do before the in laws come for dinner and there's a pot roast in the oven waiting for me to take out. And the toilet needs scrubbing still because someone peed all over it. So I said let me go see what Life with Kaishon is up to (I know, I didn't say your name to myself. weird). I knew coming here would make me feel better!!!!!

So, how many grandchildren are there????? And yes, I did go on a carousel when younger but there was never any regular ones around like yours that opened only monthly.

I don't remember a carousel but I do remember how exciting it was when the fair came to town - all bright lights, loud clothes and shrieking girls.

Thanks for this fantastic post.

This is how it made me feel:

"I don’t wanna have to shout it out
I don’t want my hair to fall out
I don’t wanna be filled with doubt
I don’t wanna be a good boy scout
I don’t wanna have to learn to count
I don’t wanna have the biggest amount
I don’t wanna grow up."

Okay, okay! I entered! :) I actually meant to enter earlier...who wouldn't with such an awesome giveaway...but I have been so busy. Thanks for reminding me!

I didn't want to mention anything online, but Mark has been gone since Monday morning. (He just got back about an hour ago.) It has been a bit hectic!

Now go book the hotel room and buy a plane ticket already! I don't want you to miss out on learning the complex art of putting a lens on your camera!

Lovely photos and quotes. Love carousels and I'm either a child at heart of a complete wimp because I'd take a ride on a carousel over a rollercoaster any day! ... Not that we have either around here.

Thanks so much for mentioning my little competition. :)

My dad lived in a small little town that had a carousel from the 1800's. Disney spent years trying to buy it from the town but they refused to sell. I am happy that we were able to benefit from the antique.

Your photos are stunning as usual. :)
