Gary as a babysitter…

Well, the other night,

I was taking some pictures

of my friend Jenna and her family.

So, I gave Gary SPECIFIC instructions

to call Kaish inside at exactly 8:00 PM

I told him to let him take a shower.

And then pop him into bed.

neighbor 4I totally assumed

Gary would follow those guidelines : )

I mean, how hard can that be?

Well, I got home at 9:30

Gary was downstairs at the computer

so I just went about cleaning the kitchen a little-

never once thought I should ask about Kaish.

I mean, OF COURSE, he was in bed at 9:30.

About 10:00 I start to go upstairs

and Gary looks up from his Mob wars on facebook

and says, “Aren’t you going to wait for Kaish to come home?”

and of course,

since I am such a SWEET wife,

I calmly inquire about his question!

Well, really, I FREAK out and I am like

“WHAT in the WORLD are you talking about?

Kaish came in hours ago, right?”

neighbor 6Only to find out that no, as a matter of fact,

Kaish was called in at 8:00 PM

but before Gary could start his bedtime routine,

The neighbors came over to see if Kaish could

go out for ice cream with them.

Gary said yes.

neighbor 7I couldn’t be too mad.

I mean, it is the end of summer.

And really, how could you ever say no

to these precious faces?

Gotta love boy babysitters : )

What time do your kids get in bed at night?

best shot These were some of my best shots this week!

Go say hi to Lolli this morning and link up some of yours!

Enjoy yourself.  It's later than you think.

Yep, sounds pretty typical! Hey, at least he did call him in at 8:00, right?

Funny! I actually fell asleep last night before my 4 year old! I wish I had that energy they have, don't you? Wonderful photos.

We only have my boyfriend's daughter every other weekend. She's 9. At home her bedtime is 8:35 but when she's with us...he lets her stay up as late as she wants. It's funny, though...usually she gets sleepy and wants to go to bed around 9 or 10 anyway.

My boys' bedtimes are around 9:00. You can't beat an ice cream treat :)

My baby girl goes to bed at 8pm but it sometimes leads to 8:30p which clearly is evident in the morning. We always vow she be going to bed earlier but...yeah, well that never happens. lol

Well, I try to have Isaiah in bed by 8:45 or 9:00, but he rarely is. I'm lucky if he's in bed by 9:15 or 9:30...and occasionally closer to 10:00. I've got to do better! Michael is JUST like Gary! Seriously, aren't all men? Like Wednesday night, I came home late from a meeting expecting to find Michael and Isaiah snug in bed and sound asleep...WRONG! Isaiah was in bed, but NOT sound asleep, more like watching cartoons. ARGH!

Hope you're having a fab Friday, my friend! ♥

Yeah, I couldn't say no to the ice cream either.

My kids go to bed, or should I say get in bed around 8:30, but their have been times where we hear sward fights until about ten. Other times they are out for the count by 8:40.

I love the shots! Your post reminds me the time my husband was Mr. Mom.(he worked at nights at the time, Moe was 5 years old and I worked during the day)

I got calls through out the day from him and some from Moe. He told me that his dad let him eat a great big bag of Skittles if he would still and watch TV!

I'm a bedtime Nazi. My 5 year old has to be in bed by 8:30 and my 10 year old by 9. This includes weekends. Crazy, I know. But it works for us!
