Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble!

There is a garden in every childhood,

an enchanted place

where colors are brighter,

the air softer,

and the morning more fragrant than ever again.
~Elizabeth Lawrencekaish blowing bubbles

logo i heart faces

I had hopes of being so creative this weekend.

Picture baby swimming pools filled with Dawn liquid soap and water.

Picture hula hoops as the bubble blowers.

And then picture that all crashing down around you!

And picture little models that are sick of being models.

It’s pure bliss around her I tell ya!

So, I looked into my archives,

which I don’t love to do,

and found this.

My little Kaish.

With puffy hair : )

It’s from May.

That seems like a million years ago!

Do your children like bubbles?

Do you?

I was lucky to get my photo, because we were staying at my in-laws' and there were six kids under 5yo and under living under one roof and bubbles are a must to keep them entertained when they get bored with the other stuff. :)

Great close-up! Love it.

He's beautiful. My kids are past bubbles (14 and 17), but I do love to get good pics like that. Next week, I'm posting one of Kyle COVERED in green paint (he's away at camp--they're having a great time, apparently!)

This is a great shot! I love bubbles and especially taking pictures of kids w/ bubbles.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and hope you have a great day.

Live.Love.Eat said...

Funny you mention that with the hula and bubbles. Have you done that before. I read an idea where you fill the baby pool with bubbles and have your chil stand in the middle or on something and then move the hula hoop from the water to above the child's head. Then they would be in a big bubble. I thought I might do this for my son's spongebob party. I don't know though....

I love the little quote by Elizabeth Lawrence. This is a really good close-up. Everything about this shot is fantastic! This week's theme was really fun.

I'm doing good here in Philly. The Mike Vick thing was a big shocker, but everyone deserves a second chance. It should make for an interesting season anyway.

Right now, I kind of like all the excitement, protests & attention our city is getting. There's always something going on here!

Fantastic picture. I love how you were able to capture the emotion of bubble blowing. Does that make sense?

Adrienne in Ohio said...

Oh, I'm so glad you found this pic, Rebeckah. I love it! I still love bubbles and I'm glad my kids enjoy them still. (I do have to say that I don't like the dried soap feeling on my fingers though. The kids all want me to fish the bubble wand out of the bottle because they don't like that feeling either.)
