I saw a little ad
in the newspaper
a few weeks ago
when I was planning
the children's fantastic summer!
This place looked fun.
We checked it out last week!
If you live near here-
Oh wait, no one that reads this blog
lives near here : )-
You should go!
Or, you could come visit us
and we could take you!

I hope you make some beautiful art today!

I map-quested this place, and it's only about 2 hours away from my brother and sister-in-law's house. It even looks close to being on the way to their place! Who knows? We might be able to add that as a stop on the way. Sometime this summer, we're definitely going to Idlewild. (My kids absolutely loved it there.) We also know that there are some good train spots in PA. When I get a chance, I'm going to make a road trip plan (which, of course, will totally revolve around my kiddos' interests.)

You take the best pictures, and you capture the thoughts in the heads of those kids...I swear!

I admire the activities you expose them to instead of a summer full of tv and video games.

Love all those quotes and photos! I think it's wonderful when children explore their creativity through art. The world needs thoughtful, inspired artists always.

Those photos are PRICELESS! Isn't it a shame that they lose that sense of wonder about the time they hit middle school?? I used to let Snow White make Christmas gifts each year for her grandparents. She took so much pride in presenting them with their custom-made gifts! Now, the only crafts we do involve glitter application!!!
