Do you ever wonder why I love I heart faces?

click me!
I love I heart faces because:
It forces me to take a new picture each week.
It helps me learn more about photography!
It's a safe place to ask questions and grow.
I've met the nicest people in the world there : ).
It's absolutely inspirational!
So, maybe taking pictures isn't your schtick-
I would encourage you,
to look around blog land,
or the real land if you like,
and get involved in something that helps you grow.
And, if taking pictures is your thing,
well then, for goodness sakes,
grab your kid, grab your camera,
and head outside and take a picture
of them doing something sports related
for this weeks fun theme:
Now, if you are thinking,
oh, but I could never win,
well me either!
But I never even notice!
I am too busy having fun
and snapping pictures!
Follow your dreams!
Reach for the stars!
with what we have.
Success is the doing, not the getting;
in the trying, not the triumph.
Success is a personal standard,
reaching for the highest that is in us,
becoming all that we can be.”
Zig Ziglar

P.S. What is your schtick?
I just LOVE that word.
It makes me wish I was Jewish
just so I could say it with
authenticity... : )

Great picture. Michale Jordanish.

I have actually placed in a picture contest. It was a fluke that the picture came out good. It is the one of Nicky I use. He got to be on the Cats of the Revolution calendar--honorable mention. Which means he wasn't one of the 12 calendar cats. Ha My only prize was a a few calendars but I didn't mind at all.

Have fun with your pictures. I love seeing them

Great picture! I love the word schtick too...I have a Jewish coworker who turned me onto the word "schvetzin"...that's what she would be doing when we would go for our lunch hour walks and it was really hot out!

Schtick, schlep and verklempt they are my favorite Yiddish words.

Photography is my schtick too, why else would I schlep my camera everywhere, and get all verklempt at your beautiful photos?

He looks like he's ready for a dunk! So true and you are such a great person for leaving comments. It is a fun site and has helped me take more pictures (even if I'm still on auto).

I love the perspective of your son in front and his friend behind, both holding basketballs. Very cool.

Busy Bee Suz ~ did you say your schtick was cleaning...and...organizing? That's insane. :) I have a virtual amusement park of mess and disorganization at my house to keep you happy. Ha!

I ♥ Faces too. You probably didn't know that. :)

What a great shot!! Also, love the song that came on - World's Greatest - very appropriate.

The boy in the pic is my son's friend, my son is in the background on the very right - sort of blurry. I have a pic of my son playing soccer on my photo blog.

Freckles is a tri-color beagle but he's fading so I guess he does sort of look like a lab now..... being 11 years old will do that.

Thanks for stopping by. Sorry I have been MIA lately - sometimes I don't want to take time away from the family to blog.

Thank you for the heart faces resource. I will check it out. I am wanting to expand into my photography more - and hearing about heart faces is a good indication that wonderful growth is awaiting me in this arena. I must say, I was overjoyed with my Art in Every Day walk a few weeks ago...and got great photos of my favorite spirng flower, the peony - which you can see at my link.

I do appreciate your generous spirit.
