Tastykake snacks: Yum for your tum!

Have you had a Tastykake before?
We grew up eating Tastykake snacks.
They are made in Philadelphia.
I will never forget one of my first days working
as a social worker in the city.
I had just come from a very dirty house
in a very dirty neighborhood
when I got lost
and ended up in the Tastykake parking lot.
It was very exciting : ).
Here are some fun tastykake facts from their website:
-Tastykake’s oven is half the length,
150 feet long, of a regulation football field (300 ft).
-The top-selling item in the entire Tastykake
line of products is Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes.
-You could make almost 8 million
peanut butter sandwiches
with the same amount of peanut butter
that is used in Kandy Kakes in a year.
If you have had one,
what is your favorite kind?
And if you haven't,
what is your favorite go to snack?
I love the Tastyklair pie!
But, unfortunately, there aren't too many
Tastykake products I don't enjoy...

Never heard of Tastykake but they do look yummy! My favorite go snack has always been the Little Debbie Nutty Bars (that chocolate/peanut butter thing again)! I did have a Twinkie yesterday for the first time in forever but they're not my favorite!

Hmmm, I don't think I've ever had one. It's so funny to me about how some things are regional while others are national. When I used to live in New England there were a lot of foods that they had there and we didn't have on the West Coast and vice versa. Some things are the same but have different names.

I love that you ended up in their parking log!

The peanut butter..oh yes!!
We lived in Texas for 3 years when I was in High School, and I missed
them something awful!!

So, you said that you are offering a free giveaway of a box of Tastykakes for those of us who don't live in the area, right?!? :) I think Tastykakes are very local to the Philly area. I've never seen them in other places that I've lived. But on a brighter note, our local grocery store in WV now carries Turkey Hill ice cream (from Lancaster area).

My absolute favorite Tastykake was discontinued years ago - chocolate cupcake with buttercream filling and buttercream icing with a chocolate stripe. Guess they were too fattening. :) Now I settle for a PB Kandykake or Butterscotch Krimpet.

never had one! I must be missing out!

OK I just gained like 50lbs from looking at the picture and my mouth started watering.

I have lived my whole live outside of Philly. Love Tastykake. Used to like Breyer's when it was made in S. Philly, but now it's too icy.

I've never heard of Tastykake, they look yummy! Since I'm on Weight Watchers, my favorite low cal snack to munch on is the cereal with the tiny marshmallows. One cup of that & I'm good!

I've NEVER heard about these and I think I know why...God was trying to save me from gaining 50 pounds and a fat roll...and another chin. Those look DELISH! Did you say peanut butter "kake"? OMG! Yum...I think that peanut butter makes dirt taste good...not that I've ever tried it, but I'm just sayin'.

I feel like if you have ever thought about doing a giveaway, now is the time...a Tastykake giveaway...it would be a hit.
