Tales from the Circus!

Hey, there! Hoop-la! the circus is in town!
Have you seen the elephant? Have you seen the clown?
Have you seen the dappled horse gallop round the ring?
Have you seen the acrobats on the dizzy swing?
Have you seen the tumbling men tumble up and down?
Hoop-la! Hoop-la! the circus is in town!
Michael James Dennis
Let us cherish the hope
that the day is not far distant
when we will be in the midst
of this next adventure.
It is in the compelling zest
of high adventure and of victory,
and in creative action,
that man finds his supreme joys.

Keep the circus going inside you,
keep it going,
don't take anything too seriously,
it'll all work out in the end.

have resulted from crystallization of memories
of the circus, popular tales or travel.”
Henri Matisse

Our circus outing was
I was going to sum it up with these three words:
Dirty! Sticky! Expensive!
But then,
Kaish summed it up like this:
Amazing, Unbelievable, Scary
and then had to add another word
even though I said just 3 : )
so I changed my opinion.
These are the most
wonderful days
of my life!
We saw a rainbow when we were leaving.
How cool is that?
Do you like the circus?

Those are great pictures! I'm glad you, and especially Kaishon, had a wonderful time at the circus!

I haven't been since I was little, so I'm not sure how I would feel about it now!

I have not seen a good circus since I was a kid and my parents would take us 40 miles to Ringling Brothers. This is really something that you have a good traveling one with a big top to take your bunch to. Great pictures as always!!!

Wonderful pictures! I'm not a big circus fan, and clowns give me the creeps. I'm sure I'm a bit weird about it, but I just don't get excited.

I'm happy you guys had a great time! I do live a County Fair! Or a Strawberry Festival.

Rebeckah, you are such an angel, yes I really had an MRI because I injured my knee somehow while moving. My daughter is a PA for an Orthopedic Surgeon, and she made me see his associate, thus the MRI. I'm sure I'll live, thank you for being such a caring person.

Hi Rebeckah! I'm always so fascinated w/ the circus and the circus people! We haven't been to one in a long time, and I would love to go to Circue De Soleil one day!

Those are great pictures, and now I'm craving for a shave ice!

What lovely, lovely pictures! The circus totally rocks... we particularly enjoy The Universoul Circus--they really know how to put on a show that appeals to a different sensibility. My entire family had a fantastic time...

You take such great pictures! I have missed coming here to visit because I love your perspective. I love these quotes and yours and Kaishs' thoughts. I have never been to the circus but back in the day(when ALL the kids lived at home and did daycare) I used to call my home the circus. It does look like fun!

Great pictures, awesome that you saw a rainbow. Looks like fun time was had by all... I'm not so sure about circus', I often wonder how the animals are treated behind the scenes. Tara rode an elephant the last circus we were to, 7-8 years ago!
