A Self Portrait with My Kid : )

I Heart Faces is doing self portraits this week.
I LOATHE my own portrait...
But, since I haven't missed even one week so far-
How could I NOT enter?
I can't wait to see all the other CoOl Mommy's : )!
Check them out!
Being a mother means everything to me.
Absolutely everything.
He is my heart.
"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.
She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never.
A mother is something absolutely new."

Happy Sunday night. I can't wait to see which two celebrities get booted on Celebrity Apprentice.

You have nothing to loathe, my friend! This is a beautiful picture of you and Kaishon!!!! It's so nice to see the "faces" behind the blogs!!!

I think that you should have MORE self portraits...if not for you and the rest of us...at least for Kaishon. Us Moms never get enough pictures taken....the kids will need these...ONE day. :)
You are gorgeous my friend...your smile is contagious...just like your loving spirit. Hugs to you both.

You are beautiful and should get in front of that lens more often! Great shot. The colors are so vivid and it is so clear. Awesome!

I was dying over this theme...yuck, yuck, triple yuck! I love the fact that I'll get to meet all of you...hate the fact that my face had to be in the mix.

But you look so cute posing with your little guy! You're going to treasure this photo of the two of you together.

Wasn't this week a tough one? I know it was for me! I just have never felt real comfortable having my picture made. You and Kaishon are quite the pair! Two of the most beautiful faces around! Lots of luck in the contest!

Beautiful! I too hate to be the one photographed. My profile picture is the only recent one, and that was with my web cam! I feel bad that I don't have more pics of Tara and I together! Have a great week!

I really think this might be the first time I have seen you. And you have no reason whatsoever to hide from the camera. I am so glad the desire to keep the entry streak going outweighed your vanity. :)

Two things about this theme: One, I don't have very many pictures of my oldest daughter and me. I wish I had more. (There's always photoshop, I guess.) Two, I don't have many pictures of my mom, period. I try to catch her with my girls, or in her element - the kitchen every time we go over. Helps that I'm a bit of a camera bug. Of course, that also means my girls don't have a lot of pictures of me. Volumes upon volumes of pictures of themselves. We got a second camera so LB can get inspired to take pictures, too. And I just might appear in some of those.

I think it's BEAUTIFUL!!

I always hated to have my photo taken too. But one day I realized, I am not in ANY of them. There was no evidence whatsoever that I existed in their childhood. So I started doing them with each of the kids.

Great picture...and I have to agree with you-Im not diggin this weeks category, I do NOT like pictures of myself!!

So sweet! Love the grins on both of you. I think this whole idea for this week's theme was to help make us more comfortable in front of the camera, don't you think??

Thanks for the nice comment on my blog! I'm still trying to make the rounds of all of the submissions but the list just keeps growing.

Oh, I love those Hershey's Bliss!! Does it make you feel badly to know that I live only 90 minutes away from the Hershey plant????

awwwww, this picture totally touches my heart. and makes me smile, too. y'know why? because your son is so very clearly more comfortable in front of the camera than you are. I'm guessing he has way more experience with that (right? grin. ;-) and also, he doesn't have to juggle the camera and shutter like you do). I also love that you two are smushed together and look HAPPY!

Here's my bit of encouragement: keep on taking these kinds of photos (even if it's NOT self-portrait week!!!). you'll never regret having taken them. I promise.

Blessings,
Susan

How did I miss this one? I'm the same way. I hate seeing my pictures, but I've made more of an effort lately to include myself in family photos. I know the kids will miss it if they look back and have no pictures of their mom. You're are absolutely beautiful BTW...inside and out!
