one bad thing about Spring-

CROCS!

I found this picture here.

They say that they are Comfortable, cool, anti-microbial, slip-resistant,
they have ergonomic italian styling …

I don't care.
I think they are SO ugly.
So ugly I want to scream.
And, I am telling you this,
because it's the beginning of Spring.
They are going to be out in full force now.
UGLY, ugly, UGLY shoes...
So, if you want to know why I am in
a positively GrUmPy mood today-
It's because I think these are
the absolute worst shoes on the planet!
How do you feel about them?
I know I have some issues
if ugly shoes make me grumpy!
Don't tell anyone.
About my issues-
not about the ugly Crocs.
You can tell anyone you want that
I hate them : ).

And if they are your favorite shoes in all the world...

Don't worry. I will still adore you.

I just hate your shoes : ).

I am totally with you on this one, Rebeckah! Those are the WORLD'S UGLIEST SHOES EVER! I wouldn't spend one red cent on those things...UGO to the max! They don't even look comfortable to me! Your feet have to sweat like crazy in them, wouldn't you think? We're liable to offend some people with our opinions, but they are HORRIBLE LOOKING! OK, I think I've made my point! LOL!

ULGIEST shoe in the world!! Now, you know, different days--different things make me crazy. Why not a crazy croc day?

oh my gosh i totally agree with you. these are the ugliest shoes in the world! you will never see anyone in my family wearing these.

great post :)

Yes, ugliest shoe in the world. But good God are they ever comfortable! I was running out to the car and "borrowed" a pair from my sister-in-law. I could almost see why she owns them.

My 2yo niece AB has a green pair and she looks adorable in them!!

I totally agree with you. I have never owned a pair, but I tried one on to see what all the fuss was about, and I still didn't get it. LITTLE kids look ok in them...adults--another story!

Ugly yes but sooooo comfortable!
And comfy rules over ugly.
Let's see, I have lime green, camo, pink, black and blue.
Lots of uglies at my house!

All of my girls have them..I think the Mary Jane version are pretty cute. And they are so convenient because they just wash off...can't beat that!

But you will have at least part of your wish..the company is shutting down their plant in Canada because sales are down...

I think they are horrid too. And I let people know also.....my girls both have them and love em'. UGLY. :0

I don't like crocs either. My youngest granddaughter loves hers (she's 2), but then she loves wearing Disney princess heals too.

I hate, hate, hate, HATE, hate them. I really do! I don't hate people who wear them, but I think they are the ugliest dang shoes on the planet!

Now, get this...I went to a blogging conference in February and guess what one of our gifts was? A FREE PAIR OF CROCS. Lord have mercy! I finally ended up ordering a pair of Ohio State ones but I am not wearing them off of our property ever. I figure that they can be my gardening shoes.

I'm sure going to be embarrassed if someone stops by and sees me in them though!

Yeah, they are not my favorite either, but they are great for slopping around in but not for fashion statements. Yikes. I have one pair for working in the yard:0

I agree! lol
I've never owned a pair, nor have I bought any for my kids.
However I have heard they are pretty comfy. I guess I will never know.

LOLOL! You know, I never, never, never understood the hype with these shoes??? I'm so glad my kids don't like them!

My favorite shoes? FLIP FLOPS!

Too funny! Both my 6 year old and 2 year old love them, though... and they're sooo easy for them to slip on and dash out the door when we're late for... well, almost everything. :)

Katarina said...

Ugly they may be...but they are WONDERFUL for 4 year olds, 2 year olds and 1 year olds. why? Cuz they can put them on by themselves and I don't care how stinkn' wet or dirty they get....SO much better than running shoes!

You know what...I think they are so ugly too, but I am all about comfort...We will have 100 degree days this summer and if I can have comfy feet w/o tennis shoes, I am willing to try it! My mom bought a pair in Hawaii and absolutely loves them....so who knows??? I might try them one day :) Happy Tuesday!

this is so stinkin funny of a post...one, cause it just is....and two, i just bought a new sketchers white pair with big ole' rhinestones all over them for our upcoming trip to disneyworld in three weeks....crack me up! all three of us are wearing there...

I do agree they are UGLY, but they are comfy! They are one of the shoes that I can walk ALL day at Disney and come home and my feet do not hurt. They are big here in FL and especially at DISNEY. Crocs are everywhere.... Are they my favorite shoe? No. That would be my Nike flip flops. (It's FL, I work at home, so casual rules) Do I have one in every color, no, just red. I also love them for my daughter, to slip on and wear with no socks, cause I hate to track down all of the missing socks all over the house, she alas has grown out of the croc stage, and into Converse, and they DO require socks. This post is about how much you hate CROCS, and not about how much I hate SOCKS!!!!

Bryce's momma said...

I totally agree. BUT, they are the most comfortable boats that you ever put on your feet. I have a generic pair that are tie-dyed easter pastels (can you imagine and uglier pair)that I wear to the mailbox and to do quick stuff in the yard cause they can be hosed off. Nurses in the operationg room wear them cause they can autoclave them(sterilize at high heat). So, I guess that they are great, but...no....BUTT UGLY! (Sorry....lol) P.S.- Thanks for your sweet comments on my pic.

I have to admit I used to think the same thing but I youngest just loves them and has had many colors and even Mickey Mouse ones.. I even have a tan colored pair. They are really comfy! Are we still friends?? haha

I don't find them comfortable. I tried to jump on the bandwagon, but I don't get it. They rubbed my feet in all the wrong places. They are ugly, but both girls have a pair and love them. I love that they can puit them on themselves and require no socks!

Thank you for stopping by my blog. It's always great to have new readers.

Ummm, I hate crocs too. I didn't know there was anyone else in the world that hated them as much as I do. Maybe we should start an "I hate crocs club".

Kristin said...

I agree they are ugly but so great for little kids! They were great last year for my little one who hadn't been walking very long, AND who didn't care for wearing socks! Much easier to walk in than flip flops, but still cool enough for summer. But I would never be caught dead in them!

Mental P Mama said...

I don't own them. I think they're ugly AND unsafe. But they have no direct effect on my mood. You might try a nice glass of wine when you find this type of thing getting to you;)

This is too funny! I just got Madison a white pair, but I guess she is with you, she did not keep them on but for a second. We almost lost one when we were out to eat because she tossed it on the floor without me noticing it. Funny!

Melinda said...

AMEN! They are the worst thing that ever happened to fashion. Having said that though, I have contemplated buying a pair to wear as I work in the yard. I'm tired of muddying up my tennis shoes all of the time : (

Haha... I don't think anyone can argue with you on this point. They are not attractive in any way, shape or form, but I have a three year old, David, and he can put these on himself without any help from me so it's ugly shoes for Davie! :) I guess ugly is the price I have to pay and I'm totally okay with that...

Liz said...

I don't like them either! Won't catch me in them!

Erin said...

HATE them, too! I was at an indoor water park this week, and they were selling Crocs for $29.99. So not only were your feet going to be ugly, but you would pay $30 for a junk of plastic? NO THANKS.

M said...

I have orange...blue and I did have pink but I broke them...I don't think they are so ugly...and they are so comfortable for people who are on their feet all day....and my feet don't sweat...and no tying or velcro! You probably won't see too much of them this spring because their sales and stock are waining...I got mine on clearnace :)

mamamia said...

hahah, i loved this. But, i have to agree. very sloppy looking. Idon't like them either. You made me laugh, though.

DD said...

LOL!!! I have to say Josh is in TOTAL UTTER AGREEMENT with you about Crocs, however....I adore my crocs! I own 7 pairs! I think i need to letter C on crocs and take a picture of all mine, oh and Annabelle's (she has 2 pairs). However NOT all mine look like the ones you posted. My favorites are the mary janes which I have 3 pairs of in 3 different colors. I also got a dressier pair for school that don't even look like crocs but provide the same comfort! So I love you too even though we disagree on footwear!! :-)

Ha Rebekah you crack me up! I trip in them. Little kids love them. They can't tell when they have their shoes on backwards, is that really an ok thing? They know they are ugly because the newer models are better, sort of. I get Merrill clogs which are also not cute but after being on my feet for 13 hours, not a problem.
I differentiate between necessary work shoes which can be ugly if the feet don't hurt at the end of the day; and cute shoes. Love cute shoes, have a closet of shoes. should we all start photographing our shoes? A cutest/ugliest shoe contest? hummm this is a COMMENT isn't it? right,... not a post, will stop NOW.

This post is hilarious! Girl, I don't like these shoes either. Both of my girls wear them in the summer, but they were not purchased by me. They are indeed UGLY! LOL!

I could not agree with you more. I loathe the croc trend. Why? Why! Isn't there any way to make a cuter shoe just a comfy? :)

These are so popular in the bay area but I'm going to stay strong and not let my little one come near these, even if my chickie friends are sporting them on their kiddos.

Though they are ugly, I LOVE my Crocs. I was thinking of getting another pair because mine are getting too small. They are perfect for the spring/summer and great for the pool or beach because flip flops can be hard to walk in when your feet are wet.
I <3 Crocs!

I have a pair that I only wear outside when I am working in the yard, watering or when it has rained and is really muddy cause they just wash right off. Truly they are DARN comfortable!!!!!! I would wear them everywhere if they weren't so darn UGLY! My daughter also has several pairs that she wears to play in outside.

I am so totally with you! My sons receive them as "gifts" a lot, but I just leave them in the garage as "playing in the mud" shoes! :o)

Dawn said...

i am with you on the croc issue!!
and i have heard from a doctor that they are ruining kids feet for real shoes! flip flops, too... oh dear!

Katie said...

THey are so ugly but I bought them for my boys a few years ago because I was so tired of putting shoes on them and tying. They are great to slip on and clean. Ugly yes I agree. I can't get a pair I just can't do it.

Live.Love.Eat said...

I don't care how comfy they, I will never wear these nor will my 5yo either. So glad you're a croc snob too :)

Gabe's Girl said...

I think they are ugly too, but when I was pregnant, they felt like heaven on my feet! I looked so funky wearing my hubby's black obviously too-big-for-me crocs while I was cooking in the kitchen!

Yes, ugly to the core, yet each of member of our family has a pair. LOL
