Growing up is hard to do.

Kaish had a concert at school today.
The Third Grade Showcase.

He sang Del Gatto the Cat,
The Star Spangled Banner,
and He's Got the Whole World in His Hands. It was lovely.
I realized as I was sitting there in the audience
stuffed full of mothers,
how quickly he is growing up.
You know what a great embracer
of growing up I am, right?
I rushed right home and found
his old Rollie Pollie Ollie DVD.
Guess What? He still loves it.
I can't let him grow up just yet.
I am too scared.

I miss Rolie Polie Olie. Bella loved him too, but Disney's moved on to bigger and better. I hate the growing up thing too. Did you cry at the assembly? I always do.

I know what it is like not wanting to let them grow up. It seem like only yesterday M was coming home from the hospital and now she is 6 months. I feel like she is changing too fast! My how I wish time would slow down.

I posted about my 22 year old "baby" growing up WAY to fast as today is her birthday and to commemorate her special day I put the words to our favorite book and her favorite song...embarassment is a mother's right.

Loved your post...and enjoy every second of it.

We just talked about Rolie Polie Olie the other day! I'm so sad my kids are past those days. :(

Mine is only 2 and I'm already sad that he's grown so much. Love your pics from the concert - I bet it was so cute to watch! Thanks for entering my giveaway, and for becoming a follower! I LOL'd at the "hope someday you're as cool as me". Bah-hah-ha! You should've left it like that. Hysterical!

Congrats on your son in the program, those moments make us proud. But take it from me, it only gets better as they grow up!

I used to love it when my girls were in school programs. I'd sit there and sob like a baby for the very reason you mentioned...they were growing up! Just wait until Kaishon becomes a teenager...you'll quickly realize just how fast time has ticked by! I love your pictures, Rebeckah!

I had completely forgot about Rolie Polie Olie.. brought back great memories. My kids loved it too. I too have a hard time with them growing up SO fast! But it's part of nature.. We just have to savor every moment we can. That's what I like about blogging and scrapbooking.

Still, you must be so proud of him.

Del Gatto the Cat....that sounds so familiar...could I have sang that in elementary school?? I just had a flash back :)

I'm right there with you....they grow so fast. Ross is starting to say "yuck" after I kiss him. :(

Can't end this with a frown. Hope you have a great day :)

I'm just as scared as you are! I don't look forward to the boys growing up. =( I know it' something they have to do, but... If I had my way they would stay small forever! ;)

I forgot about Rolie Polie Olie...Tori loved him! I have a feeling that Kaish will only grow up as much as you do and you still seem pretty young.. Happy Friday!

I hear ya. I can't let Isaiah grow up too fast either. Sometimes I feel like I'm digging my heals in the dirt...holding on with both hands. We just have to cherish each moment, each "phase", each day. Hope you're having a fabulous Friday!!

I know...you want them to grow up, but then you don't. It's the mother's curse...or blessing...I guess both! :)

It's so hard to watch them grow up right before your eyes so fast. Thanks for sharing that link about your best shot. I 'll have to check it out.

I shouldn't tell you this, but when they're all grown up they're wonderful too. They're your friends.

Thanks for stopping by. I enjoyed reading your quotes.

I host a carnival on Thursdays called Alphabitty Moments where you post a picture of a memory that you don't want to forget from your kid's childhood. For example, this past week we did the letter C. I posted pictures of my daughter Cuddling with daddy and grandpa.

It's been a fun way to keep the memories of the 'little things' alive.
