ABC Wednesday K

Janet
Before I start with the K's today, I would like to ask everyone that comes to this site today to please pray for the Baeurnscmitt family. They go to my parents church. Their beautiful 22 year old daughter, Janet, was killed in a car accident on Sunday. I know they would treasure your prayers during this very heart breaking time.

I also have to say HAPPY 9th ANNIVERSARY to my Beautiful Sister, Betsy and her WONDERFUL Husband Caleb. I can't believe she has been married for 9 years. That is crazy. She is 31. Isn't she Dazzling?
Here is a picture of Betsy starting to KISS Baby Levi! We just love that little kid!
Kaishon kissing Baby Katelyn. We love her too! Kaishon is SO blessed to have Ben, Levi and Katelyn as his cousins.
Here's Kaish on his tire swing last Spring. He is getting so big, it makes me want to cry!
And last of all, we have my LOVING and SWEET-AS-PIE Mother kissing Little Levi!

Kissing is a wonderful thing. I can't wait to see everyone's K pictures this week at ABC Wednesday. If you like pictures, you can go and look around yourself : ). I am always delighted at the creativity of bloggers! Go Kiss someone this instant : ).

May God bless you this week!

The blessing of our Bible Study

We go to a nice church. A BIG church. Sometimes, it is easy to NOT get involved.

This year, when they started talking about small groups and we couldn't find one that fit into our schedules perfectly we decided to skip it. We were fine with that. You know how busy September and October are anyway, right?

Well then, one Saturday, at our neighborhood block party, I met the nicest girl. She told me she goes to our church. She and her husband just happened to be hosting a small group during the fall. "Would we like to join?" How could we not go when it was meeting just a few doors away? We decided to give it a whirl.

Last night was a such a blessing. You know those blessings that just come out of the blue? We were both so tired! I had to scramble for babysitting. Gary didn't even get supper. We weren't expecting much.

It far exceeded our expectations. I am so thankful. I can't wait to read the book. Have you read it? God is so good. ALL THE TIME!

Check out this story about how this book saved lives. Amazing!

Byer's Choice

Isn't this gate gorgeous?

I loved these statues!2 boys laughing!
Precious Mila!

Sienna playing leap frog.

There is a fun place in Chalfont called Byer's Choice. They make all kinds of dolls. (I know, not very manly, right?)I took the kids there during the last week of the strike. We had so much fun!

My favorite thing about the place was the price! FREE! Do you have any fun and free things to do in your neighborhood? Things that are a little out of the ordinary? We love the library and the park, but sometimes, we need something different!

Aunt Luella's Dash

Our Dear Sweet Neighbor, Luella Bishop.

I wish I had a copy of the speech they read at her funeral.

It was beautiful.

She had 9 brothers and sisters.

She went up to 8th grade in a one room school house.

She never got married.

She was best friends with her sister, Ruthie.

She couldn't wait to go to Heaven to be with Ruthie again.

She worked in sweat shops doing piece work as a seamstress for many years.

She loved going to Sandy Cove Christian Camp for vacation.

She learned to drive on a Model T and she tipped it over several times,
but always managed to climb out of the accidents just fine.

She taught herself to play the piano and the guitar.

She taught Sunday School at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church all of her life and she LOVED it.

She loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own children.

Do you have a minute? Can you go and watch this beautiful poem about the dash?

Aunt Luella's dash was amazing...

I am thankful that we knew her.

In loving memory of

Luella Bishop

Peter Pan and the Darling Family are coming to our house! (Thank you Ebay)

It all started with a fight. Sabria was mad at Kaish so she told him she had a "friend" who had a whole Peter Pan action figure set and she was never going to show it to Kaish. Well, this news devastated Kaish (he just LOVES Peter Pan.) Ever since he first saw the Disney movie when he was 3 it has been his favorite. Sabria told him later that she didn't have any friends with Peter Pan sets, but he just couldn't get it out of his head.
We had never seen a Peter Pan play set. Ever. And we have looked! And looked. Kaishon desperately wanted this set. We inquired at the Disney Store and they said there was no set. We inquired at Toys R Us and they said there had never been a set. Finally we looked on ebay.
Of course they had a set. AN EXPENSIVE SET! So we planned our strategy and we have been sitting here at the computer since 6:30 PM hoping to win this AMAZING Peter Pen set...the set we just couldn't live without! It was hard to eat our meatloaf without checking to see if we were still winning. But...
We did it. We won! It will be arriving in 3-4 days from Spain.
Our Friday nights are so exciting.
Kaish is getting so big. 8 is OLD! I am glad he still likes to play with little figures. It makes my heart happy. If this will help him stay little for a little while longer, I am happy to have purchased it.
Do you ebay? What is your craziest purchase? Or happiest : )!

Pottery Painting and the Park

Swingers
Sienna and Maecy
Kaish and Mace
Sofia Sienna Kaish Macie Mila
The whole crew : )

While the strike goes on, we have been busy hopping from place to place with the children!

We are all trying to be as positive as possible.

Sometimes that is hard when it seems like there are a hundred fights a day about the silliest things you can imagine...

Jen and I are having a very hard time getting all of our work done.

It's 2:00 AM right now and we are both working away and yawning frequently!

Gary told me when I was leaving at 9:00 to please stay over at Jen's all night so he could have the bed to himself... Do you believe that?

I gotta go back to work, but I wanted to share our fun pictures from this day : ).

Thanks for your thoughts about the strike! You were all so encouraging!
All of these fine pictures were taken by Macie's mother, and my friend, Jenna : )!

ABC Wednesday Letter H

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Holding Hands
I have been wanting to join a fun weekly post group and last week I found a perfect one for me : )! It is called ABC Wednesday's.
My sweet friend Grandma J does one called Vintage Thingie Thursday, and I would have loved to join that one...but I couldn't find anything vintage!
I don't really know how to spell that karate word, but it sure does sound like
Hiiiiiiiiiiiii Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! And that bottom picture...well, it is one of my favorite pictures of all time. Kaish and Naji were walking in front of me one day while we were walking to the beach. And they started holding hands. LOVE. THAT!
Isn't that ADORABLE!
If you like pictures, or if you want to participate, go here.
