Great sites for the week.

A tribute to Maria Chapman.
Debt reduction! Brilliant.
Father with preemie dealing with loss of wife. Thought provoking.
My friend from college Danielle. LOVE her posts about her baby! She is so creative : )!
This girl is giving away a gift card to Barnes and Nobles if you give her an idea of where to go on vacation. Only 6 people have commented so far, so your chances are good : ).
I love the pictures here.

THANKFUL Author Unknown

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something.
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations.
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge.
Because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary.
Because it means you've made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to thosewho are also thankful for the setbacks.
GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings

Hershey Park

Quietly playing computer games...not really.
The Swimming family!
We took a tour of Hershey World 3 times in a row. The older gentleman running the ride hated us : ). Whoops!
Getting ready for our big day!

Swimming in the hotel pool.

Being factory workers...

One of the kids FAVORITE things: Jumping on the bed!
You gotta love eating ice cream cones!

Kaish and I took a fantastically fun trip to Hershey, Pa. with three of our super cool friends, Nikkita, Jamal and Jordan a couple of weeks ago. It was a SPUR of the moment road trip in the middle of the week and it was so much fun. Sometimes it is nice to forget about school and work and just GO! So we did. We didn't go to Hershey Park because Jamal had his first basketball on the day of our return and we didn't want to spend $50 a PERSON for 3 hours at the park. We are going back though soon...and we are EXCITED!

Matthew Febus' Sister

How pretty is she?

emotional? OR psycho?

So yesterday, while we were WORKING : ), Jen made me listen to this very pretty song and then tells me a sad story about a baby dying. Of course I cried. Who wouldn't?

Last night, when I was making Gary's midnight snack, I listened to this song and then listened to it 3 more times...crying a lot the whole time! Then, I blogged a little blurb about Kaish and went up to give Gary his midnight snack in hand. I came into our bedroom WEEPING!

Gary said it was SCARY that I was crying like that about a song AND he thought I was a little psychotic and he wanted to pretend it never happened. I think I am normal. Does this song make you cry? Or feel sentimental

Little Boys

Little boys come in all shapes and sizes,

Shy and adventurous, full of surprises,

With misshapen halos and mischievous grins,

Small dirty faces, and sweet, sticky chins.

They'll keep you so busy, and yet all the while

Nothing can brighten the world like their smile.

And no greater treasure has brought homes more joy

Than a curious, active, and lovable boy!
I am so thankful for my son. He lights up my world. He is growing so quickly. He is an angel.

Happy Mothers Day

Gary's Mom, Daisy.
My Mom, Sandy.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

Open House at W. Broad

I really love his teacher, Mrs. Fledderjohann!
She is kind and loving and very understanding.
She has been on of our greatest blessings this year!

A bat story he wrote. Isn't he spectacular? For real? WOW!

A bad picture of 3 great men! LOVE them!

A time line of Kaishon's life. Brilliant Mrs. Fledderjohann came up with this idea!

Kaish had an open house at his school last week. Gary RACED home from work and my parents RUSHED over from Perkasie so we could take a look at Kaishon's school. We had a great time. Kaishon is doing a fabulous job in his learning support classroom. He is jumping up in reading stages quickly. I am so proud. We are all proud. Do you know this great kid has not gotten a frown face on his behaviour chart in 3 weeks? He is the best, best, BEST! Rock on, Kaishon!

Grandparents Day

or Special Person Day (that is what West Broad Street Elementary school calls it) was today. Here is Kaishon's take on Grandparents Day...

"I got up early and went to school." I had to interrupt him here because he hadn't gotten up early. "Why do you think you got up early, Kaish?" "I did get up early because I never really slept I was so excited." Hmmmm.

I definitely saw a sleeping child, but whatever, here is the rest of his Granparents day summary: "So I went to school early and I had to wait for a long time. Hours I think. (School starts at 8:40 and the grandparents got there at 9:30...I guess that could seem like hours, if you were 8?!?!?!?)

Then Grammy came. And Mrs. Derstine (She is our old neighbor). Grammy loved my desk. She sat beside me. She let me read her a book. We planted plants for Mothers Day. Whoops. Just forget I said that Mommy. ("I'm getting a flower? That is so exciting!) Mom, I said forget it. That was a secret. I didn't really want Grammy to leave. I wish PopPop could have come. I gotta go now."("Where do you have to go, Honey?") "Nowhere really, but it seems like you want me to talk forever. I am all done with the story mom. Done."

Cool Blogs

Here are some blogs I really like a lot. Maybe you will too : )
Gretchen was one of my best friends in college. We had so much fun. Her blog has been inspiring to me. She is a great mom to three beautiful girls. She hasn't actually seen my blog because in the beginning I felt like my blog was completely inadaquate compared to hers. I have to tell her soon. I think she might kill me for having a blog and not telling her.
Erica was my friend in college also. I think she has a colorful life with her three beautiful girls. I love to read about their daily adventures. I have to tell Erica about my blog too. I just didn't think my blog was good enough in the know?
This is a blog about my friend Stephanie who went to college with me. She is a sweet girl with 3 adopted children and she is in the process of adopting 2 more. She updates almost daily and she is always interesting to read!
I don't know how I found this blog, but the projects are so cute. The girl works for Martha Stewart. That is kind of cool, right? I have not done ANY of the projects but I do look at them and think how nice it would be to do them.
Our church has a cool Saturday night service and this blog is written by the Pastors and leaders who run the group. I like the blog because it always gives me lots of things to think about.
News from Anderson Cooper
I just found this blog yesterday and I LOVED it. I don't know it is because I used to live in a DC suburb, or her way fun profile picture, or her profound thoughts on Christianity. It is a very interesting read and I can't wait to read more!
How a family is dealing with the loss of their baby. Sad but hope filled.
Cool pictures.

What if...

we didn't have clean water to drink? We just sent $20 and we are going to skip getting water ice tonight. My boys are so nice and giving.
