Uh Oh! OH NO!! Dog dilemna!

It appears,
that possibly,
the finders of the dog,
don't want to give him up now.

They said
they would
come to dinner last night,
and drop the doggie off for Kaish.

Never came.
Never called.
We were all so sad
feeling kind of bad- What to do?

oh no! that's kind of how we got our puppy! we were in the process of adopting another one, which i had finally given in to. i really didn't want to, due to all the extra work, but finally said ok. then at the last minute, the adoption fell through. i then found myself scouring the newspaper and internet to replace the dog i didn't want in the first place! if you end up needing to do that, go to petfinder.com. you put in the type of dog you want and they connect you to humane societies and animal rescue centers in your area. the background check they do is somewhat extensive, but it's nice to rescue a dog as opposed to buying an expensive, overbred one. you can search and breed, sex and age you want. it's pretty cool. they give a little profile of the dogs and a picture and then have a rating system as to whether they are good with kids and other animals. hope you find what you are looking for!

I hope that this doesn't sound rude, but that is just wrong to decide to keep a puppy that was going to go to a little boy for Christmas especially at the last minute. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

I hope it works out and it ends up at that this is just a misunderstanding or some sort of mix-up.

I am so sorry that happened! How awful!

Know this - there is another dog out there and you will find it! You may even find out it is a better fit for your family.

Let us know how it turns out.

I feel SO BAD for Kaish :(

It's unbelievable that someone would be that thoughtless...and then not even have the guts to call you.

I always say that in the end, it's for the best...God's will so to speak. Now you can rescue a pet that you and your family pick together, and not one that someone else had to offer (even if you fell in love with him). I would follow themrs suggestion, and I'm willing to bet you won't be disappointed.

PS. I hope the original dog poops all over their carpet...those arses!

Oh, that's terrible. I hope it all works out. There are millions of dogs out there in need of homes, so I know you will find one, but what a terrible thing to do to a family. I'll think good thoughts for you.

that is horrible. I am so sorry. I pray everything works out.... that really stinks.

Aw, that's awful! How inconsiderate - unless something happened that they weren't able to call. Poor Kaishon! If you really want to get him a dog, I'd visit the local SPCA. Just don't leave with half the dogs in the kennel! :) Don't get a young puppy either unless you're willing to devote A LOT of time to training. Hoping you find a new doggie!

Oh poor Kaishon! I'm hoping it's just a mix-up too and everything works out.

I think this door has closed because this wasn't the dog for Kaish. However, if you and your hubby are decided that you want a dog for Kaish there are many many dogs out there..... I sent you an email.

If you're decided that you're really ready, just take him to pick out a puppy for his B-day next month. He will be OVER THE MOON!

Poor Kaish! I hope it's just a mix-up. I'd hate to have to come up there and have a little visit with them....

Oh, no!! Please tell me there is an update to this post, and that you are the proud new owner of that precious puppy...I'd hate for Woody to have to come up and kick some booty:)

I'm glad that Kaish had such an awesome Christmas, but sorry to hear that Quince wasn't able to come home. I'll continue to keep him and his family in my prayers.

Oh, that is so sad. Well, it is not sad for the dog, cause he does not know...but it is sad for you guys!!!!
They won't call you back? That is strange.
Keep us updated. I feel bad for Kaishon....he must be heartbroken.

um that's not to unexpected because the dog is so sweet. this doesn't mean that there isn't a right dog for your son. Getting a dog is adding to the family, it's like adopting a new family member and it needs to be a well planned decision. You can look for a dachshund or go to the pound a rescue just the right little guy. Pray about it. Let your son be a part of the process, often a dog picks you. His dog is out there somewhere waiting to be found by him. There is something so magical about the human dog-bond, awh soot I'm goona get myself bawling. If you want to read about my dog love hs name was Rasmus and his story is on my old posts.

That is sad...but I am hoping you find a dog soon! I have had dogs since I got married...always a lab since they are so good with kids.

I finally had a chance to read what I had missed....the Coach
purse post in particular...at first I thought it was your husband who won the purse from our raffle but it was "John." Is that a relation? I think the address was the same....or the last name...it wasn't until I read back that your husband is Gary.

WOW! I can't believe that!!!!! Hopefully you will hear something from them because they need to EXPLAIN what's going on!!

I hope Kaish wasn't too sad about it!

Other than the puppy drama, I hope you had a wonderful Chrsitmas.....I'll be blogging about mine....it was not bad, but strange.

Jason, as himself said...

That is so not fair! I'm sorry. And ditto what everyone else said about it.

Oh, my goodness! I am so sorry that's happened! Is there anyway for you to contact them? You know that you can always find sweet dogs at your local animal shelter. If we ever get another dog, I've decided that's the first place I'll head.

Hope your Christmas was wonderful! We just got back in town, so after I play catch up, I'll post all about ours. I did post about Stella, though. Have a blessed Sunday and I really hope the dog situation works out somehow!

It is sad that they didn't even have the courtesy to tell you they had decided to keep the dog.
